Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

While I had the bench set up did some minor adjustments on my 5F6a.

Updated the standby pop protection, lifted the heater center tap and replaced it with a pair of fusible 100ohm resistors and swapped out the cheaper silver mica caps with some Vishay ceramics.

Front of a JTM45 chassis, no tubes, with a Mojotone power transformer and a ClassicTone Output Transformer. The chanels are jumpered, and the knobs are missing. It's been built into a Fender 5F6A Bassman circuit.

It's been built into a hybrid Fender Bassman 5F6a, with modifications: an effects loop has been added, shielded cables have been installed, a JTM45 style bright cap has been added and switchable, the negative feedback is switchable between a 5F6a Bassman value and a JTM45 value, power scaling has been added via a Vari-Watt circuit, a 5W 100k resistor has been strapped across the standby switch and a 0.047Uf 630V capacitor has been added to the end of the HT center tap ground in order to keep the standby switch from popping, and the heater center tap has been lifted in place of two 100ohm fusible resistors as transformer protection and added hum removal.
