For me, this looks like my debut into fantasy romance WIP, including:

* Queernorm world with normalized neopronoun use
* Redoing all the "standard" fantasy races (elves, dwarves, etc.) to make them queerer
* Humor that borders on absurdist
* T R A U M A

HE WAS DISCHARGED AND WE ARE HOME. Still loads of pain and recovery ahead of us, but he's settled, meds are ordered and we are *home*. 😭

Thank you all so much for your support and kindness and well wishes. That was an experience we never want to do again.

It's day two in the hospital! He's still in a lot of pain and slept last ass last night; it's been a bit hectic with nurses and doctors and we're unsure if he'll get to come home today as planned or not. I'll keep you all posted.

Finally home after 14 hours at the hospital (partner is staying overnight and we'll check tomorrow if he gets to come home).

Thank you *so* much for your support. Especially those who donated. Needing to get takeout all day to eat and not having to stress because of your kindness meant everything.

Surgery was a success! He's still in pain (unfortunately), has to stay overnight for the first time and I have more than one qualm about how things were handled.

But I'm just so thankful he's okay. 😭
