About halfway through rereading Devouring Fortune and comments from @thoughtsstained.bsky.social. Goal today is to get through the rest today and start putting together a revision plan for an edit pass with a focus on deepening some worldbuilding and character elements.

There are a ton of spambot/scammer comments going around on AO3 (and elsewhere). If you get spurious accusations of using AI/generally being evil, or someone vaguely proposing a collaboration of some kind, or an odd-sounding fan art offer, check around to see if it's scam. Then report!
AO3 authors: If you get a spambot comment on a story, AO3 has a specific reporting path that lets them get rid of your spammer in hours rather than weeks. Turns out that following these steps REALLY WORKS.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.
