It's a particular kind of suffering. Like what you get from your dominatrix. Or from winning a type of argument over the weekend that none of your coworkers will want to hear about when you go back to work.
this is why the whole “oh, suffering creates great art” thing is bullshit

you know what’s conducive to art? a roof over your head and food on the table

you know what isn’t? stressing out over where the fuck the rent money is going to come from
I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.

And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.

it is our utmost responsibility to make the Woke 2 of conservatives' nightmares real — and not just real, but brutally, decisively, bone-crushingly real
I think folks need to understand the level of dooming going on in anti-democracy circles right now. They see what's happening and they know what's coming (Woke 2).

Here's monarchist Curtis Yarvin, a close friend of JD Vance.

Like ten minutes after the original "OMG LOOK AT THIS" post someone had already found the same references and made them yell about the Epstein Files during the fight and was like "dude this is a shitty tech demo stop lying to everyone" and yup
And after all that, the Pitt/Cruise AI fight scene appears to have been just digital BG and face replacement on multi-angle green screen reference videos of two real live human stuntees fighting.

In other words, like most AI hype — it was a con. www.shokunin.studio/blog/2026/2/...

Seriously it's hilarious to me, the line on LLMs is "this is progress! you can't stop it!" from the same people who are trying to eliminate every gender transition surgery and, uh, the concept of the computer. Well, *you* think things can be de-invented! Let's de-invent the search engine that lies.

In this week’s post, Felker-Martin argues that people should not “recap things,” especially if they’re not getting paid. She warns the reader (somewhat ominously) that they should not put more recaps “into the world.” Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next, but I’ll keep you all up-to-date!
For the love of god, don't recap things, especially not for free! Do not put more recaps of art into the world.

I was going to college in SF when Gavin Newsom was mayor and it was an entire known THING that he'd cruise around in a limo to pick up 18-19 y/o girls to party with. It was a running joke amongst everyone I knew that "If we look hot enough tonight, the mayor might give us free coke"

Just saying

The first assistant Chris Rufo hired in 2021 was a Pepe the frog loving fan of “groyper mom” Michelle Malkin. That guy worked for him for 3+ years before going to work for Russell Vought in the Trump administration last year. So Rufo can miss me with the “I’m shocked by Fuentes’s popularity.”

This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

AI is your Facebook MAGA aunt. Whatever she sees online is absolutely the truth and she's gonna tell everyone else about it. This is really really bad news man
I got a tip that all over the world, people are using a dead-simple hack to manipulate AI behavior. It turns out changing what AI tells other people can be as easy as writing a blog post *on your own website*

I didn’t believe it, so I decided to test it myself www.bbc.com/future/artic...
I hacked ChatGPT and Google's AI – and it only took 20 minutes
I found a way to make AI tell you lies – and I'm not the only one.

Also you want to USE these types of voters. You do not want to DEPEND on them.
100% correct. “Gettable” Trump voters are not moderates/conservatives.
They are low-info, hate the status quo, and don’t have (the luxury of) ideological consistency.
They are mad at the way things are, want someone to smash things, and don’t care if that smashing is from the right or left.
Donald Trump won in 2016 and 2024 because anti-system voters flocked to him.

Democrats need a strategy for competing with anti-system voters in 2028.

This is, in some ways, a very strong case for nominating someone like AOC over Newsom.
