You think this guy is gonna willingly leave after his term? Lol. Think about J6 and that was before he was just out and out saying shit like this. Why do you think he is angry about people telling the military to follow the Constitution? He's got plans for the military. And he's building a bunker

I should add that the current metanarrative taking shape there is shaped by tons of items about people getting in trouble for using their guns against evildoers of various sorts. The narrative ratchets more authoritarian week by week: "we'll need our guns soon."
Really important to duck into right-wing media from time to time, if you can manage it. Blaze is Glenn Beck's site. Beck is still going very very strong. The editor is a top guys at the Claremont Institute, making Blaze the public face of that institution's efforts to build fascism--full stop.

there is no peaceful path to the eradication of patriarchy. the closest thing we have ever achieved is routing it in election after election, as the US managed until 2016

we can go back to this, but patriarchy is aided by supposed liberals who don't recognize patriarchy will never go peacefully

I think something that underlies my own worldview and that I think is... only partially shared with people in most places anywhere on the ideological spectrum is the following pair of assumptions
- violence is bad & damages the soul
- violence cannot be removed from the world entirely at this time

my feeling on three things is that disciplinary boards will let you do a lot of evil things competently, but Halligan actually could face consequences for doing this bc of how obviously stupid it is
Sure. "The Grand Jury did not see the operative indictment" is the kind of fuckup where lawyers literally don't actually know what happens next because it SO fundamental a thing that it is LITERALLY possible nobody had even thought of this as a thing that could happen.

In retrospect, hilarious that Jim Comey put together the 1927 Yankees of legal teams and then they saw that they were actually playing in the Little League World Series
So an invalidly appointed prosecutor brough an unvoted indictment, based on evidence violating the 4th amendment, attorney client privilege, and the 5th amendment. Against "false claims" that were literally true, all on direct order of a vindictive president?

Is this the most dismissable case ever?
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

sounds like the speculation was correct and Halligan responded to being no-billed on one count of the indictment by fabricating a second indictment that did not contain the no-billed count

but you can’t just do that, you have to present the new indictment to the grand jury too

she did not
HUGE development IN hearing for Comey selective prosecution motion, It turns out that the grand jury NEVER saw the operative indictment. Whole separate basis for dismissal. Standby for more.

BREAKING: Prosecutors in the Comey case just told the judge that they’re under orders from the Deputy Attorney Generals’s office not to disclose whether career prosecutors wrote a memo recommending *against* indicting Comey prior to Halligan going to the grand jury.

We kick them in the teeth.

Reciprocity is the name of the game, that sucks. But we didn't choose this.
one thing i think is true is that republicans assumed that democrats would not respond in kind and that the forceful pushback spooked them (a lesson to learn here, perhaps)
Trump's corrupt scheme to rig 2026 is suddenly falling apart:

*Court strikes down Texas GOP gerrymander
*Indiana GOP lacks votes to redraw map
*Big Dem win in Virginia could give Ds more seats
