haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

also, if you explain to anyone that Trump wants to execute Mark Kelly because of a post, the absurdity of it reveals itself
I'd argue that the more he goes after people with actual power and money, the better:
(a) It diverts the "Land of the Fee" injustice system's energy from abusing people who can't afford to defend themselves.
(b) It will cause a stink in the media and courts much more quickly.

Thompson also destroyed his own huge talent and became a shell of himself. It's a sad story.
Hunter S. Thompson was a good writer who was also an insane drug addict and generations of men in their 20s have destroyed their livers writing extremely boring pastiches as the result of incorrectly inferring some causal relationship there
just read a piece calling Nuzzi a "modern day political version of Hunter S. Thompson" and I think I need to log off

Gotta watch it for the affectionate little arm pat he gives Zohran when he says it’s ok to call him a fascist
Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.
November 21, 2025 at 9:20 PM
There we go everyone. Dear leader has spoken. Not a jihadist. Feel free to tell all of your most annoying relatives who are suffering from a viral form of posters madness
Reporter to Trump: Elise Stefanik calls Mamdani a "jihadist." Do you think you're standing next to a jihadist?

Trump: No, I don't. But she's out there campaigning, and you say things sometimes in a campaign. She's a very capable person.

It gets lost in the shuffle, but the Speaker of the House is someone who, by all rights, should’ve had his career ended a decade ago by a Shreveport TV news investigative team.
Fond memories of that time Mike Johnson was president of a local law school that never opened its doors, in part because it was attached to a Baptist college that was losing its accreditation, and in part because it was always a scam from the start
Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?

Not a bad theory! I need a way to manage my contempt for the people who cannot remember 2019
I have private theories about this and it basically amounts to "a large part of the populace gets frequent bouts of amnesia and we've never noticed before."

(Far-fetched? Probably. But it would also help explain all the "Mandela effect" stuff.)
The baffling part is how many people were giving him the benefit of the doubt in January and now don't approve. They got new information and changed their mind. But he was already president before! How did you not already know he sucks??

What's really starting to come into view is that "online tankies" aren't even really that radically communist, it's just people with anti-American sentiments who are also culturally-4chan.

If you press them, they're absolutely racist, misogynistic, transphobic, and homophobic. That's their culture.
Fine. You all win. I’m logging off for the day because I‘m a big smelly man who’s also a Nazi and a bigot because I liked it better when Groypers didn’t have 1,770 nuclear weapons on hair-trigger alert. Feel free to brag in your discords about how my jimmies have been rustled and I was owned.

one of the underrated factors for the rise in scamming across U.S. society is the death of local media.

He is right, I absolutely did not hear of this until now
Things get lost but this week Trump nominated a marine ecology scientist to run CFPB with no intention to confirm him, just to keep the clock running on Russ Vought's control of the agency, which without a nominee named would otherwise run out.

I should add that the current metanarrative taking shape there is shaped by tons of items about people getting in trouble for using their guns against evildoers of various sorts. The narrative ratchets more authoritarian week by week: "we'll need our guns soon."
Really important to duck into right-wing media from time to time, if you can manage it. Blaze is Glenn Beck's site. Beck is still going very very strong. The editor is a top guys at the Claremont Institute, making Blaze the public face of that institution's efforts to build fascism--full stop.

we can go back to this, but patriarchy is aided by supposed liberals who don't recognize patriarchy will never go peacefully
