Once again I would like to call out Teri Gross as stand up comedy’s greatest op for gassing up these guys and trying to convince people they were transcendently profound when they were entertainers working in a medium that is mostly intended to be disposable
louis CK was funny, sure, but never SO funny or SO culturally dominant as to reasonably expect to sell out every venue and sell every project for decades. so far, that’s what’s happening for him! what did ‘cancellation’ really do to his career? give him an audience he respects slightly less, maybe?

This is why all those articles about RFK's quirky and unorthodox view of environmental causes of disease are just laundering his lies. He doesn't actually want to make anyone healthier. That's not a goal he has.
The MAHA pitch was supposed to be that Americans don’t really need insurance, vaccines, or other “establishment” medical care — they just need better nutrition and less exposure to environmental toxins.

At this point, our intro comp/first-year English course has been so heavily revised, it no longer includes a novel, or "extended reading" of any kind, no "specialized" or "historical" reading, mostly in-class assignments, no research essay...and we are still seeing a 40-50% rate of AI misconduct.

Universities are assembling larger and larger teams to deal with academic integrity issues--mostly focused on AI--while simultaneously holding AI "writing" contests, AI-themed events, "hey, come play with these fun tools!" The messages are so mixed, it's criminal. Because AI is bloated with money.
