gotta do investigations into DHS “waste, fraud and abuse” as pretext for killing the agency
The interior of Kristi Noem’s new billionaire-class luxury jet is complete with two bidets and a wet bar with a wine chiller. It will be purchased on our dime from the slush fund Congress approved in the One Big Beautiful Bill.

It just struck me that newspaper comic strips were sort of proto-posting: you come up with a joke every single day and eventually you either mellow out or become completely insane

The baby down the street is crawling circles around Thea. He's only 2 months older, but he's already sitting up, cruising, scooting around, and even saying "ah dah" to mean "all done." Thea's still only rolled over a handful of times. Embarrassing is what it is

I do not want to hear about how we "have to vote for the nominee" until there actually is a nominee. Which will be in about 2.5 years.

In a nutshell, the Dem lodestar should be: "ICE is bad, and immigration is good"
My theory of the moment: The extraordinary courage of ordinary people in places like Minneapolis is reawakening us to our social and economic ties to immigrants. It's making "love thy neighbor" cool again. That's the ultimate antidote to MAGA hate.

Thoughts on this:

Yeah, this is pretty much exactly what I thought about when I saw Musk's stupid racist tweet: Minnesotans have spent the last month and a half saying we will die to defend our multicultural community.
It's also part of a very direct negation of the latest stupid tweet by Musk: people have given so much, two of them their lives, to defend a multicultural city and the rights of people not exactly like them. And that multiculturalism is American culture.

I just watched a fun little video full of references I understood. The video was from aarp. Time to die.

You know it’s bad when even Canadians are posting about Pam Bondi. Like how do you even know who she is. I don’t even know who their PM is right now.

I remember this Onion headline striking me in 1998: wow, that really IS depressing; people do that? I've thought of it frequently in the intervening decades, especially these past few years as everything in the world becomes "On-Line Gambling"

sorry but when it comes to the high price of berries i think we all know who the real culprits are: toddlers
As consumption of strawberries and blueberries has skyrocketed among American families, so too have berry prices. But don't blame the farmers!

In 2015, the Dilley concentration camp that Liam was in, contained 1,000 children.

They are the people she, and then Biden and Kamala, *continue* to repeatedly brag about as them being tougher on the border then Trump

Just without the bad headlines harshing the vibes and getting shit on their toy
Hillary Clinton: "More people were deported under my husband and Barack Obama without killing American citizens and without putting children into detention camps than were in the first Trump term or this first year of Trump's second term."

Apparently there’s grocery inflation discourse again, but as I’ve been buying groceries for other families during this crisis, often under duress, it’s brought me out of my own optimized grocery spending habits, which rely heavily on Costco. And damn, there is a huge price to pay for being poor.
