Wife did a gravel order from Lowe’s for me to pick up. I drive to the pick up dock. Guy with a radio comes out. I show him the order receipt. He radios inside. They tell him to tell me to tell my wife to download the app so that she can check in on it to let them know I’m here to pick up the order.

The cougar (Puma concolor) (/kuger/, KOO-ger), also called puma, mountain lion, catamount, and panther, is a large small cat native to the Americas. It inhabits North, Central and South America, making it the most widely distributed wild, terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the most

i mean, the administration needs to deport him somewhere where journalists won't go and where he will die as quickly as possible

So Kilmer Abrego-Garcia will not challenge a deportation to Costa Rica, who has agreed to for him residency, but DHS won’t agree to send him there because it’s not cruel enough.

www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/u...
For weeks, Mr. Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who is married to a U.S. citizen, has made clear that he would not challenge his deportation if he were sent to Costa Rica, which has promised him legal residency and guaranteed that he would not be sent back to El Salvador.

But the Trump administration has refused to deport him to Costa Rica, and in an earlier hearing this week, Judge Xinis pressed the administration to consider the option or clarify why it was unacceptable.

Word to the wise: do not fly internationally into Logan. All of the major public detainments of Legal Residents and Citizens at airports have been out of Logan.

Anyone in Boston an immigration lawyer or know one who can help this woman? Her husband is detained at Logan over a dismissed misdemeanor from 2017. He’s a legal resident of the US. She just asked for help an hour ago.

This is why the costumes are honestly brilliant. Ngo, who has never said a truthful thing in his entire life (remember the concrete milkshake?) now has to convince people inflatable Sesame Street and animal costumes are violent terrorists.

Sometimes you just need an image too silly to demonize.

I don't think that works until the kids are all elementary age. Trying to have a basement full of 3 year olds staying up past their bedtimes is going to be a mess lol

I need more childless friends. I made a potential guest list with 24 people. 20 of them have young kids
hannahposts.bsky.social
I think my kids are just too young for that. If I suggest putting the kids in the basement, we'd still need to be done by 7:30 so the kids can get to bed
hannahposts.bsky.social
And I want to see my friends in a situation where I can finish a sentence! All socializing is just watching the kids near other parents who are also watching their kids. You can't relax, you can't pay attention to the other person. I would like a break from that at least once every couple years

I am getting feedback that I probably can't throw a grown-up birthday party after all. That apparently you can't expect people to get a sitter for a party. Apparently you don't get to have cocktail parties or adult dinner parties at all during your 30s or 40s if you have kids. It's stupid imo

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

As soon as the piles of toys form, somehow there's like a puddle of spoiled milk or something mixed in under the piles
hannahposts.bsky.social
Today i was admiring how messy yet clean my friend's house was. There were piles of half folded laundry on the couch, sippy cups on every surface, toys everywhere, but no sandwich crusts anywhere. The bathrooms were clean. Nothing was unsettlingly wet. No musky odor. I've never been able to do that
