Entire government is an extortion racket.
Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X

I’m not sure that’s what “strategy” means.
Who could have predicted?

“Several Trump officials..said there is concern within the administration that Mr. Netanyahu may vacate the deal. The strategy now, the officials say, is for Mr. Vance, Mr. Witkoff and Mr. Kushner to try to keep Mr. Netanyahu fr resuming an all-out assault against Hamas”
White House Works to Preserve Gaza Deal Amid Concerns About Netanyahu

The Trump administration strategy is to try to keep Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel from resuming an all-out assault against Hamas, U.S. officials said.

don't know the exactly details here but i'm pretty confident this didn't happen
Trump: "Buttigieg spent billions fixing the air traffic control. They used copper wire going into glass wire. Any union electrician here or any non-union electrician would say you can't hook copper into glass. It doesn't work. They spent billions, turned on the system & it was stone cold blank"

Six percent of *all children* in America are US citizens who have at least one undocumented parent.

"I'm from the government and I'm here to help," is actually a pretty good slogan and aspiration for a political party.
I suspect a huge part of the reason Republicans are taking the heat for the shutdown is that ending federal programs across the board *just is* the GOP brand. Dems are the party of a government here to help you, & Republicans aren't, so of course as federal programs fail, everyone knows who to blame
With Trump and his cronies using the shutdown as cover to shut off the food stamp program, food banks will soon be flooded with demand from the 42 million Americans--including 16 million kids--who rely on the program. Which means the rest of us will need to step up and give whatever we can.
It literally pains this man to tell the truth. It makes him feel weak.

I've said this before but during my extremely long sessions my very nice tattoo artist said that her policy on Nazi tattoos was that she would only put them on your face
And I know many people with regrettable tattoos who managed to avoid getting anything Nazi-related, it's really not hard
I’m a case study of one, but frankly it’s very easy to get drunk in another country without getting a Nazi tattoo

To be clear, these apartments have been sitting empty during the Adams administration, when there were NOT rent freezes, but somehow a potential future policy is the problem.

This is an incredible read that illustrates the corrosive stupidity that seems to infest every single part of this administration
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Everyone realize that the reason the government is "shut down" is that the Republicans failed to pass a budget by Sept 30th, as they are required to do by law, and the government just ran out of money?
By law the Republicans were required to have a budget for the new fiscal year in place on September 30th.

Anyone seen the budget? Are they are here in DC working on one?

Don't we think media, commentators should be asking Rs where their budget is? Do they intend to actually create one?

Right now we’re seeing an elite culture “appalled” by racism they can’t deny which is why the “you’re coming across as racist and that’s unhelpful” line in the story is probably the most revealing.

It's almost like Republicans can't find anyone without a Nazi/racist text history to serve, but it is a bit troubling, isn't it, that there seems to be an endless supply of them

It’s a boy! We’re at his first vet visit. Kind of a cliche, but we’re going to call him Felix. I’m unofficially fostering until after he’s neutered, then off to the local shelter.
I know this kitty looks demonic, but they’re really sweet. Oh, and here’s their murder mits.
