I hate the "don't feed the trolls" approach. I can tell you from experience it doesn't work. As a woman in games, I've faced my share of harassment. Every time, I've been told by male peers to "ignore them". It's never worked.

Stand up for your marginalized peers. It's the least you can do.
For Aftermath, @alyssamerc.bsky.social spoke with the Sucker Punch dev fired over Charlie Kirk comments and others, who highlighted the unique way the backlash played out in games

Fun history fact! If you were born in the 12th century, by now you'd be dead.

Eldest just noticed "Once Upon a Katamari" got an update, and they're hoping to be able to 100% the achievements. They'd made that impossible by not finishing the game when they still had lower scores on some levels. By over-achieving, they ironically made fully-achieving impossible.

Oh, nope. 😒

The data DOGE stole is still out there. The back doors they installed are still in place.
Broke: DOGE is dead

Woke: DOGE was specifically constructed in a way to avoid accountability partially by zombifying the USDS which still exists as an entity

Bespoke: Dead or not, there needs to be a blue ribbon committee and a massive internal cybersecurity review to root out all the damage.

When I was doing my journalism postgrad, we had a BBC journo come in to tell us how it is.

"where do you get your *ideas* for stories?"
"Oh I read lots of other news outlets and do those stories. I found one in an archaeology mag recently and it did really well"
<<uncomfortable silence>>
I guess it’s a compliment that the top story on BBC London’s TV/online output today is a direct lift of a month-old London Centric story? But once again the BBC is consistently the worst news outlet for actually remembering to credit others.

In my attempts to use the least amount of words possible in putting notes in my Kindle during revision reads, I have started using the word "adjectify" which is the act of turning a sloppy long phrase into a single adjective. I also use things like "prep hell" which is too many prepositions.

I updated both the mini dragons and the mini dragon/egg combos today so there are tons of new colors including the notepaper one with a little pencil colored egg! These make great gifts or stocking stuffers 👀☺️ #bsnm

ICE detained Katie, a British woman in the final stages of her green card process, while she was holding her 6 month old son.

She’s married to an American and was following the process, yet at her last immigration meeting they grabbed her.

She’s been detained ever since:

This month was set to be one of my worse sales months, which correspond strongly to my health...and, then, someone went through and bought every book in my sci-fi series. I don't know if that person follows me, but, if they do...I saw that and you're amazing. It was a horrible day and you fixed it.

I'm going to say a very random statement and leave it at that. In the unlikely event you have extra mashed potatoes after any upcoming holidays, putting a spoonful or two into a bowl of creamy chicken flavor ramen (just one of the cheap brands) is warm cosiness. I've said what I've said.
