Ardvrek Castle wall 'ripped down' for use as stepping stones - BBC News share.google/vaDaHBFJgdKP...

Truly horrible...but this quote from the article is so disdainful that it kind of shines a light amid the horrors or something...and includes the word "tootsies."

Despite this, I've been...wary of changing to "grey" in my books, which is ridiculous. I tell myself it's for consistency's sake. But, late at night, while high on pain meds, I get punchy and fed up. So, I'll leave myself notes like this one.

I did actually change it to grey. Wooooo! Feel the rush!

No, Jami, I will not clap... Havoc and Tempest are both right next to me, and Tempest would give me a glare of death. Nobody glares like Tempest. He loathes. (see pic) I have, however, applauded you mentally.

Migraines suck. I'm sorry. What a lousy time for a migraine! As if you didn't have enough.

Was going to grab a mug that fits the hell of today, but then I remembered I bought a Stranger Things mug in the spring and I haven't even used it. But, we're watching the last episode of season 4 tonight.

Threw together food because my spoons are gone but I still need to buffer meds. Went to take a bite of my toasted ciabatta roll...only to discover this angry crab had dibs.

Niece made me a backup hoodie sling.

(BTW, as far as we know, we invented the hoodie sling out of necessity. I've been waiting for an MRI for a month and a half, which will almost certainly lead to surgery. Unfortunately, regular slings dislocate my top ribs so this is a cozy option.) #Spoonie

The air pressure madness really kills me and we're in for a bumpy ride this week again. Tonight, we're due 25 mph gusts in fact.

5 things you shouldn’t 3D print at home, even though you can

(The food safety thing is the reason I didn't print bunches of my tea bag mug-hugger to mail to everyone. Though I'm super careful to keep him above the tea-line )

Every year, I'm like, "This year, I will just be chill and just see my regular doctors about regular things."

And every year, my body responds, "Challenge accepted!"

We're rewatching Stranger Things Season 4, and Sadie Sink's character, Max, gets a moment in episode 4 that is one of the most triumphant moments in television ever, and pairing it with "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush was so amazingly brilliant. It goes so amazingly hard and never relents.

Look, I know I'm salty today, but the CEO quoted in this Disney AI deal article is a schmucky ass. AI is built through IP theft.

And I'm old enough to remember when Disney sued a daycare for a Mickey Mouse mural. The dissonance from Disney in this article is outrageous.

And actually this couple is pretty sweet.
November 13, 2025 at 6:13 AM
To be fair, they don't all look like that. This couple is clearly having marital issues and headed for divorce.

So, I 3d-printed these little squashes and bought nail stickers with faces on them, because I thought they might look cute.

Almost all of them look like they're disgruntled office workers discussing lay-offs at a break.

I'm not sure if it's a success or just a sign I need to get out more.

We're somewhat rural so we rarely get more than a handful of trick-or-treaters. But, this year, I printed a bag of fidget toys (to go alongside candy) to give to our anticipated 7 or so intrepid trick-or-treaters.

It's a torrential downpour. It's expected to even get super windy later. 🙄

My niece retaped my shoulder. (We have to do it like every 3 days to hold together a very hypermobile joint that most likely has tears in it so I can sleep.) Every time she does it, I crash-sleep for a few hours because I'm not in immense pain. Last time, she did it, I found this a day later.

Watching Coraline while everyone else carves pumpkins and there's a background frustration at how much an author who is awful IRL can affect our enjoyment of a work. It doesn't help with distancing an author from their work that the father in Coraline looks like Gaiman.

I found a dog cookie flavor that can effectively hide the taste and smell of the multiple Benadryl and Zyrtec that the vet has Havoc taking and, my friends, I will take the wins when they come because Benadryl in particular is a tricky bastard to sneak through in any treat. It's this, BTW. YMMV.

We discussed options and I said, "I wish I could just have a hoodie sling where the pocket functions as a sling while I'm sitting so I don't have to constantly reposition pillows underneath my arm."

She dove on that and measured me for the correct position and height.

The hoodie-sling, friends. 2/

In the middle of this pirate island level, there's a couple of pirates where one of them is swinging the other in constant circles by their joined hands and it's got a strong "Our Flag Means Death" vibe. #OFMD

The guillotine earrings modelled here by my niece are back in stock!
October 27, 2025 at 5:32 AM
Oh, I posted the wrong pic. This is the one with my niece's awesome rainbow glasses.
October 22, 2025 at 11:34 AM
I got a set of guillotine earrings made by
@beckymew.bsky.social from The Peculiarity Shop for my niece, thinking they'd fit her vibe.

She said, "Yay! Now I have 2 guillotine earrings and these are fancier so I can wear them to more formal events. Also my other ones don't have blood dripping."

Guess who got Seahawks sprinkles on her hot cocoa?!! (And the sweet suite person put it together because I'm in an arm sling tonight.)
October 21, 2025 at 2:51 AM
I am here. And they have the Mariner's game on the TVs in the suite and throughout the stadium (not to mention everyone on their phones) and I have to admit that I can't figure out which field people are cheering about some of the time.

Oh! Touchdown!
