Today has been mostly spent talking to parts of BT, including the excutive complaints team following 2 shit-o-grams to their CEO about how they have repeatedly crapped all over my 96 year old Dad.

Got an appointment from the hospital. At the top of the first page is my name, address, NHS number and patient number. The first two pages of the letter tell me where and when and remind me that I should bring my hearing aids/walking stick/whatever other helps I might need. The usual stuff. (1/4)

One of the dubious joys of getting older is that you start to collect medical issues. In my case the main one is type II diabetes. The NHS picked this up in a routine screening. In retrospect is was probably about 9 months after I started expericencing intermittent tiredness, dizzyness & nausea.

I have braved the local post office. The usual cast was there:

- the slowest employee on duty, who regularly gets things wrong & is perpetually confused
- pushy woman who thinks she can queue jump
They ran out of 2nd class stamps. FFS.
