It is time for a PROPER pinned tweet with a list of books in reverse order of publication and a little bit of info about each series. Buckle up buckos, here we go.

(I may even correct typos in it, but probably not, Life's too short, right?)

Someone's wrist will ache after signing all those tip in sheets. Sucks to be the...

OH NOES, THAT'S MY HOUSE.
A large stack of boxes full of tip in sheets. Don't ask how many, it hurts already.

Oh man, that was not TAD and they are never available. They split and have no intention of reforming. Maybe it was Mudhoney.
rjbarker.bsky.social
Difficult to get rid of. You'll probably need a full grunge band to kill them off. I reckon TAD might be available.

Is it just Blackie Lawless or is it all the ex members?
rjbarker.bsky.social
Quite right too.

You should drop all that awful dirty wood at my house.

He only cleaned that chimney a year ago and how you've ruined it

Oh I loved this so much.

I'm building a zoo, and a tall ship. And a zoo on a tall ship. I'm also making a drone that will carry a cat and allow them to drive it.

lets say a wizard has cursed you with a lot of money. you are going to become permanently brain damaged simply by being in possession of so much money. the only way out of it is to spend a lot of money on something ridiculous and not at all useful

what would you buy to break the curse?

The veneration of Books As Objects misses the point entirely. If you're reading a book, turn the corners down, break the spine, spill soup on it. It's your book, go nuts. A pristine, unread book is a tragedy in a way that a beloved, much-read book that looks like the dog's been at it could never be.

Book 48 of #adamreads2025 down - Warlords of Wyrdwood by @rjbarker.bsky.social !

A belting sequel, building and growing on what's come before like trees in the titular Wyrdwood, and escalating all the while! Loved this, and can't wait to see how it all ends!

You should read Extremophile. I loved it - it's a manic antifascist adventure that doesn't offer easy answers but does have music, great characters and bad people getting their comeuppance.

I've decided that whilst critical success is lovely, I'd like to sell some books.

If you liked EXTREMOPHILE, recommend it to a pal! (If your pal is fucking COOL and not a narc)

Eco-terrorism biohacking body horror, smart shit with dumb characters. Your new favourite book

'A visceral, doesn't-give-a-damn biopunk thriller that treats the "punk" part of that subgenre not as mere window-dressing but as an antifascist shriek... vital and urgent SF that reaches places realist writing never could' ― @interzone.press

If you like cool shit get this 🕶️

Was away this weekend and one of our friends cooked vegan 'meat' sausages. And I don't know what it is about fake meat but the smell of it gets stuck in my nose for days afterwards.

Not a fan.
