There are plenty of reasons why. EU funding plus currency independence; thriving tech and defence sectors; lower taxes for young Poles so less brain drain, etc.

But Poland also has a very different attitude to building things.

In any normally functioning democracy, Farage’s political career would now be over. You would have to invoke unbelievable levels of naivety and stupidity for Farage to dodge this one - and sadly for him such qualities are not on the person specification for the job of Prime Minister.

My hunch, though, from the cack-handed response from Farage, landing other senior Reform members in the lurch lying on his behalf ('one of tens of thousands' Farage met every year) is that this has taken them all by surprise. The comms are chaotic, and they're acting like headless chickens
