I (still) don't have a Wikipedia entry. I like movies, mashups, science, sci-fi, zombies, comics, history, assorted nerdery, & the Oxford comma. Neutral Good. I would prefer not to pay as much attention to current events, but we live in interesting times.

Criminal: Hillary’s recipe emails

Good: Epstein emails proving at a minimum Trump knew about the pedophilia and didn’t care and at a maximum was a willing participant.

Mandatory comparison. Note, it was a choice to not include a four column wide photo of Trump looking like shit in his only press appearance yesterday when he refused to answer questions about Epstein.

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

the point of camo for a soldier is to obscure their position from the enemy. camo in an urban environment is completely different, and this forest green or desert pattern is functionally useless.

police only dress this way to project an image of power they should not have.

Stay for the alt text.
I simply refuse to accept that police ever have to look like this. this is just pure cosplay. it should be illegal for cops to be dressed like soldiers going to war.

The worst game of MadLibs ever...
The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

It's always weird to hear Motörhead's "Ace of Spades" on a restaurant's Muzak, but when it happens I am reminded of @alexwinter.com's TV show The Idiot Box. IIRC, in one skit he played a rock & roll accountant, and at the end he trashes his cubicle while this song plays.

If fired from a Footlongbow, the range would be 150/600 feet. In a hit, the target and each creature within 5 feet would gain +1 flavor.

It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

Abbott's joke about putting a tariff on people makes sense if you read it in the context of hoping to be able to own people again.
They’ve all gone mad.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott: “After the polls close tomorrow night, I will impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving to Texas from NYC.”

What's your favorite use of pre-existing classical music in a movie not directed by Stanley Kubrick?

Mine is probably "Hall of the Mountain King" from Fritz Lang's M, the main melody of which is whistled by the killer.

Runner up: Howard Hanson's Symphony No. 2 ("Romantic") at the end of Alien
