i think a lot about how 19th century mass literacy was fueled by cheap reading material (penny papers) which made fiction affordable even for children. im sure every book being $30 will be fine and have no consequences.

Most of my tumblr life I've been in fandoms that were diverse and racism was talked about, so being into WoW fandom now makes it so obvious how much casual racism is allowed just cause they are blue trolls and green goblins, even from otherwise progressive fans. There is almost no critical thinking.
