Congress ordered CBP to create a biometric entry/exit system 25 years ago. The problem was that the tech wasn't there until recently, and the agency never pushed hard for it. In late 2020, CBP proposed a rule to implement it. That rule sat until 2025, when the Trump admin finalized it December 26.
It appears the jetway photos at Logan were part of CBP "biometric exit" program, which has been tested for years but was quietly approved for wider rollout in Sept. (Doesn't explain threats to passenger)

Neighborhood watch is taking on a new form in Minneapolis and other cities under occupation by federal immigration agents: ICE Watch.

These folks, who're tailing federal agents as they make arrests, are passionate, determined, and just about everywhere—and ICE is getting frustrated.

Local resistance is "growing exponentially," says Defend the 612's Andrew Fahlstrom.

Every single person who makes a “fall of the Roman Empire” comparison in times of crisis or uncertainty outs themself as someone who doesn’t know anything about the Roman Empire.
Desperately trying not to post any more takes but I wish people would remember that they don’t know what will happen.

the mainstream media has been covering donald trump as a political figure for 11 years now. they know he is full of shit. they push headlines like "trump rules out using military force to take greenland" even though they know the context of his rhetoric.

it is a deliberate misinformation tactic.

public perception says mainstream media is sensationalist, lusts for scandal, will make anything up to sell papers and get clicks etc.,

and then this particular president does like 10 scandals a day and mainstream media insists on describing his actions in the most uninteresting way possible
Right on cue, here are the push alerts from the 3 major newspapers lmao

It's downstream of how they decided the same thing about liberal democracy, and so also hate the idea that the US was the leader of the world's liberal democracies. Seeing democratic politics as weak and effeminate is a very old phenomenon.

"They hate us for our freedom" is literally true of them.
i'm going to spend the rest of my life figuring out how a small band of elites decided that acting as the global currency and primary military hegemon was gay and feminine coded

The Founders (rightly) thought financial corruption was so concerning they banned it in the Constitution three separate times: the two emoluments clauses, and the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

Starting in 2017, America decided it just kinda didn't matter anymore, whatcha gonna do.
UNREAL: Per NY Times amazing reporting today they found "Trump has used the office of the presidency to make at least $1.4 billion. We know this number to be an underestimate because some of his profits remain hidden from public view." We live in a 3rd world sh*thole! www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
