Normally I wouldn’t post photos of tourist haunts in Edinburgh but five years ago in November 2020, when almost everything was shut and we were restricted to moving around in our own council area I went up town to take some photos of Edinburgh with no (or very few) people.

Aviemore yesterday and Edinburgh today. The snow might be pretty but it’s not for me. As far as I’m concerned snow is a pain in the arse (especially when I slip and fall).

When she was young my late mum would buy postcards from places she visited and write details of the visit on the back. Her and dad were married on 17th March 1951 in Alloa and stayed at the North British (X marks the room) on their way to their honeymoon. In Ripon for some reason.
