Capitalism delivers the best most efficient services...

Eh, no it doesn't. In this case axing a service so that a private service can run its timetable. Yea, that's right some of the profits went to you, but that's not the case with Lumo trains.

Soon-to-be-axed 7am Manchester-London train will still run – but without passengers
Exclusive: Rail regulator pulls Avanti service from timetable from mid-December but it is needed for staff travel

If you're feeling Arthurian you might enjoy this essay.

One of the best things about 28 Years Later is Kelson. The typical trope would have the educated expert driven demented by his experience. Instead he's deeply humane. Yes he's strange but he's not demented. I loved that.
had an entire movie theater to myself tonight and took exactly one photo during the trailers of my beautiful baby boy Dr. Kelson's breathtaking & breathtakingly giant face

Oof that looks terrific
Been hoping for a book of Viktor Mácha’s work for years so this is all very 🤯 You’ll know that third image from The Internet although I don’t think Viktor ever gets a credit. Amazing. Hellish and beautiful at the same time.

He's a school bully. What I don't understand is why everyone is tip-toeing around that. Call him what he is. This was never banter it's about power, it's always about the power dynamic. Farage may not understand the whys & hows but he's been rewarded for it.

A great thread - well worth your time.

This is also why, increasingly, the published authors pool is reducing to a single monied & connected class.
I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

So let me get this straight.

Rather than fix the court system, something that both New Labour & the Tories claim to love...

They're going to remove one of the most ancient privileges you have, something this country is famous for. Trial by jury.

They're also taking away your right to appeal

Ah yes, Bret Ratner. The director who killed off the original X Men films. Famous for ... Checking my notes ... Rush Hour.

And well known sex pest who pals around with Netanyahu
Also, no one seems to talk about all the MeToo accusations leveled at Ratner anymore.

Ah yes the 'Street Photography' communities.

I'm just saying lads, it's camera clubs all the way down...
I do love the subways and I do street photography + combine both.
I have been a member of a scottish street facebook group since it started about 9 years ago. They knocked this subway one back as an architectural photo
However I looked through my images, last 1 has even less human by proportion.
