This is in response to the picture below and a story about Jamaicans embracing solar power.

Jaqueline Hazelton is an adjunct in an international studies program at Stanford, which is terrifying.

40 years ago we’d have congressional hearings falsely accusing metal bands of putting backwards messages in their songs that told kids to kill themselves & now we have a planet-killing chatbot that’s all like “bet you won’t commit suicide chickenshit bitch” & the government is like here’s $5 billion

Breaking the 12 year long GOP supermajority in Mississippi seems like a big deal. A bunch of Black women mayors seems like a big deal.

Can’t wait for the hot “How Democrats winning is bad news for Democrats” takes.

People are like "This is so great!" But ask yourself WHICH voters wouldn't know that you can't vote in local elections for other states...

The other side was sending GOTV messaging, too.

The penny will drop eventually.
What happens when you distill 2025 into a single social media post?

This.

This is what you get.

Damn, Teen Vogue has low key been some of the best political reporting of the last 8 years.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

"Why doesn't the Dem gubernatorial candidate for Virginia take a page from --" THIS IS NOT NEW YORK
NYC is NOT a "so goes this city, so goes the country" space, and people acting like this is the general election. It's a lot.

And in the NYC election cycle, all we hear is how comparable it is to the national executive role, just at a smaller scale, but larger than many countries.

No NYC mayor in my lifetime has left the job with an approval that merits being a Senator, let alone President.

I'm so glad the election is tomorrow so everybody who don't live in NY can shut up about what's going on here and what NY'ers need to do. Y'all have been exhausting.

Y'all remember the scene at the very end of Montell Jordan's "On Tonight" video where he's looking in the fridge and singing the song to himself, closes the fridge door and ol' girl is standing there staring him down?

That def happened in "their" kitchen with "Wasn't Man Enough" today.
