PSA: this pumpkin brioche from Trader Joe's makes great french toast
I'm holding up the bag of pumpkin brioche bread in front of a tiny skillet in which I am making a single slice of french toast

I know at least one person who's not gonna be there
Ron DeSantis claiming that he didn't eat pudding with three fingers, but we all know he did

Amazingly it's still going strong. Right next to the boarded up storefront where The Big Hunt used to be (RIP)

Had a bit of a journey last night but I'm great now and regret nothing

10/10 would drink too much and dance to reggaeton at Cafe Citron with young people again

This is complex but the water concerns w/ data centers around here generally are:
-consumption via evaporation from the cooling process
-thermal pollution to surface waters
-energy use embedded in treating the water on the front end (if using potable water) and back end (wastewater discharge)
beckyhammer.bsky.social
This isn't quite right - a substantial percentage of the water used for cooling at data centers evaporates and isn't returned to the local water cycle

(This Nextdoor comment still makes no sense though)

Another reminder that there are real consequences to shutdowns that can't be undone when the government reopens

Coal pollution rose in last shutdown as EPA inspections stopped
Soot emissions from power plants rose nearly 20 percent above average when enforcement stalled during the shutdown seven years ago.
