My best life advice for the spiritually inclined may be this: find the thing /you/ need to do, and define it as your spiritual calling. The god that wants that thing exists, and you’ll both be served well by the arrangement. If it doesn’t feel right, drop it. Be willing to redefine as you go.

The whole cast is note perfect but in particular Gwen should be remembered as part of the pantheon of great Sigourney Weaver sf roles, right up there along with Ripley and Dana Barrett.

Galaxy Quest, like Iron Giant , Fury Road and Tremors, is one of those rare movies without flaws. It's not just good, but miraculous.
Galaxy Quest - a perfect movie, just a wonderful love letter to actors, sci-fi, Star Trek in particular, and to fandom - really deserves a proper physical release with decent extras. Think Weaver's right that releasing a R-rated cut would be fun, too.
