I very much liked WUDM, and in general I like Rian Johnson's body of work more than not.

But at this point I'm nearly as entertained by the meta-story of how polarizing every single movie he makes seems to be online.

The thing I could never get over about that title is it reads to me like it means "just a little bit of Satan."

Like Satan's one of the notes in a wine, or a garnish for potatoes.

It sounds like you've lowered your expectations to the point where you're going to be pleasantly surprised at the overall quality, even if you find plenty to critique.
Struggling through Ep 1 is the biggest hurdle, but then I think Ep 2, and 4 of the next 6, are good enough for enjoyable rewatches.

Never know the next time I'll be invited to a Divine Liturgy so might as well be prepared.

The absolutist stance will be a thing I'm sure, but I'm betting it will be a mainstream Gen Z/Alpha trend to prize authentic in-person experiences that 1) involve no AI and 2) aren't digestible into social media content.

Yessss! This one actually would have been more likely than not to happen.

Also not hard at all to imagine the kind of ideological terrorist who'd target a prominent nuclear scientist. Easier than imagining a Trump org hiring a competent hit man for a carefully planned attack, anyway.
I wouldn't rule something like that out but there are several more plausible motives.

I'd suggest checking out Stand By Me, adapted from Stephen King's The Body.
My other favorites of his were This Is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride, which depended a lot on vibing with the comedy (the 1st inspired Christopher Guest's later career, the 2nd was penned by William Goldman).
