These people are not “becoming” this way. They have always been like this. There was a brief interregnum when conservatives understood that they would be socially ostracized for overt racism, but A) that was an aberration in the broad sweep of American history, and B) it’s over now.

If were a Congressperson I might have suggested to Admiral Double Tap that the fact that the US Navy couldn’t sink a goddamn speedboat on the first pass doesn’t speak too highly of it’s capabilities in an actual war, and maybe they should focus on that instead of cosplaying GTA in the Caribbean.
