The first official confirmation that Noem herself made the decision not to turn the planes around. A couple hundred men were tortured as a result — and soon after, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Trump admin’s Alien Enemies Act process was a total violation of due process.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

Every time I’ve asked someone who’s never been here why they’d want to visit the US, the national park system is in the top 3 answers. Every time.
National parks have SO MANY people from other countries (since they get real vacations!)

And they spend a lot of money on hotels, food, souvenirs, etc.

This is unbelievably dumb, it will destroy entire tourist towns

Dems,

This is right up there with healthcare and, I believe, a hugely popular position to make a central plank of the party:

Stop corporations and hedge funds from buying America's homes.
Hint: a third of all home purchases were by Corporations last year.

Yes, exactly.
fwiw, I think Trump's going to have more trouble getting a nominee through the senate now.

doesn't mean it won't still be someone wildly inappropriate. but...seems like he might have some more limits now.
Don’t rejoice unless you know he won’t be replaced by Laura Loomer or Andrew Tate.

Very similar to the Trump Afghanistan "plan"; once he decides he wants something done, he doesn't care at all how it's done - no consideration of US interests or long-term consequences.
The question I get asked most often is how to understand Trump's push-me-pull-me Ukraine policy. To me there are a few constants that don't change:
1) He really wants to end the war fast. Results over process.
2) He respects Putin and wants a good relationship with Russia. 👉

Yep, to this admin, winning arguments on Twitter is more important than serious policy making.
this administration is more twitter pilled than any previous iteration and the only reason it isn’t called out more regularly is because our top political reporters are just as mentally broken

this ended up being a good piece of satire that didn’t sanitize trump’s appearance
Imagine being Gobble. You have a pretty nice life, eating corn and soybeans, and spending time outdoors.

And then you’re brought to D.C. where a man with golden-white hair is talking, loudly, about something called “the radical left Democrats.”

Short, excellent thread.
This is narcissism masquerading as philosophy — the technophile elite are not recognizing a new soul in AI, they're falling in love with their creation, staring at their own reflection in a digital pool.

It is the ultimate in solipsism and has its roots in a pathological fear and denial of death.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.
