It's true that Cinemasins-style "criticism" has done a lot to erode the actual useful concept of what a plot hole is, but if the ending to your story relies on the protagonist sacrificing themselves when someone who could flip the switch and not die is standing five feet away, sorry, that's on you

I dunno what’s gonna happen in scotland but if things down south are the way they are here this simply isn’t going to work. there were entire classes of kids turning on teachers at our *primary* school who wouldn’t use kids’ correct pronouns
