Calling the requirement for a judicial warrant before entering a person’s home one of the Democrats’ “new restrictions on federal immigration agents” crosses the line into outright falsehood. It’s in the Bill of Rights! A rule as old as the republic.
WaPo article excerpt including the sentence: “Democrats demanded new accountability measures for field agents, including requirements that agents wear body cameras and don't wear masks, and that agents get judicial warrants before entering people's homes.”

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.
On Nov. 16, a mental health counselor recorded in Kamilla’s medical records that her mother reported the girl had lost her appetite after being “served food that contained worms.” A week later, the couple said, children were told to gather in the gym for what they believed would be a Thanksgiving celebration. Excitement spread as families saw tables set with turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, they said. The children waited expectantly. But when a parent asked when the celebration would begin, Oksana said, staff told them the holiday meal was for employees, not detainees. The children, she said, watched despondently as the feast was packed away.

It's not that you deserve to be sent to a camp, it's that you might actually be sent to a camp in the very possible future scenario of Newsom losing a presidential election to Trump's successor because enough would-be dem voters are delusional enough to believe he's not the preferable candidate.

Today's ruling on the EHRC's interim guidance is a disappointing, confusing and mixed picture.

A trans woman who is a customer in a café can use the women's toilets, but if she works there she might not be able to.

Once again everyday life is being made a legal labyrinth for trans people.

Went out and saw some birds and nature and stuff, but was also bitterly disappointed in the changes in accessibility at my local National Trust property since I last visited (will explain in thread).
