🧨 When I first saw the Together Against the Far Right march announced I was immediately cautious because there was no mention of trans discrimination being part of the issue in their promotional material.

Huge thank you to @mimmymum.bsky.social for doing the digging which addresses my concerns.
“Together Against The Far Right” is following a variety of groups - but they’ve not actively engaged with ANY LGBT or trans, orgs 🤔

Maybe it’s because their Interim Chair, Kevin Courtney, has a history of aligning himself with anti-trans hate groups??

You get away with a lot less saying it to the customer, so if they were emboldened enough to say it to them, they were much more emboldened to say it to colleagues.

Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

👥 The ECHR exists to protect our most fundamental rights.

Chipping away at it to pander to the far-right risks undermining those core values.

Labour are trying to out-Reform Reform on immigration, but our human rights should never be sacrificed for political point-scoring.

I said it before, will say it again -- generative AI fetishizes "ideas" while sneering at effort, execution, and education. That, despite Gen-AI being built on and out of other people's effort, execution and education.

So annoying that companies that promote GenAI and LLMs called it AI and didn’t differentiate it from the advanced machine learning algorithms and tools that enable so many great things that are also AI but actually solving a problem, and good.

Co-Pilot is currently running an advert of a negotiation where a woman types in 'what's the minimum we can sell for and still hit Q3 targets'

This is *mental*, this person should obviously know this backwards! It's her literal job!
There’s a type of LLM advert which essentially depicts
1) a person using an LLM for a task it absolutely can perform
2) but a person who is qualified to double check its working wouldn’t need to.
Feels like this is the type of “AI misalignment” we should really worry about!
