I walk, and draw and write badly.

My hiking journals aren’t very interesting, but they’re very me.

I don’t know why but I just couldn’t get going on my TGOC log until now. I’m finally getting going though. #hiking #journalling #TGOC25

Hang on. Ronan fucking Keating?

We explained quite CLEARLY a few years ago that BBC1 New Year is to be left from now on to Sam Ryder, wheeling out banger after banger. And if he’s unavailable, Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

We will NOT accept a return to austerity.

The correlation between companies named after the Tolkien legendarium and their CEO/Founder being a chittering skinwalker fingering his own taint at the idea of draining the planet of all its resources and then fucking off to a sealed dome in New Zealand while everyone else suffers is extremely high

Guys guys guys, I found the archive of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures (it's not an achievement, they've not hidden them) - you can watch every single one since they started televising them in the 60s:

I love watching them every year, now I can see them all!

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I’m not convinced about the sustainability regarding the number or size of cars/SUVs on the roads these days. Electricity has to be generated somehow. My view is that the only good car (EV or otherwise) is the car that remains in the dealership showroom.

Oh, I really like this interpretation. Of course it relies on the historic western misinterpretation of Palestinian houses and their construction and what the words ‘inn’ and ‘barn’ mean in that context, but. The point holds and I like it
The innkeeper isn't the bad guy in the story, he's a *good guy* in the story. He *doesn't have room in his inn* and then *finds a spot for Mary anyway*. And this act of kindness is why Jesus is born in a manger -- warm, dry, safe, surrounded by people that love him -- instead of out in the desert

I’m on a WhatsApp group for the male participants of our antenatal class. I’m amused that as the dads-to-be on it gradually become dads, the primary topic of conversation is in parallel becoming the most dad-ish thing possible: thermostat levels.

The e-scooters that clutter up pavements may seem like a new thing, but a hundred years ago, there were already people zooming around London on powered scooters.
