They lured us in with the butts! Turns out, #HeatedRivalry is a tearjerker.
Me: sobbing gently on the couch, not for the first time this episode.

Bae, befuddled in the next room: are you crying? aren't you watching that smut show??

We are Canadians, therefore we are treacherous.
Nice to know what our dear neighbour really thinks of us.
The Atlantic suggesting, without evidence, that Canada's Global TV broadcasting the '60 Minutes' segment on CECOT that CBS distributed to it may have been an act of "treachery."

It’s pretty sinister. The companies behind dating apps expressly don’t want users to find long-term relationships. If we find love, we use the apps less AND give them less of our data. 👀
I forgot most of these dating apps are pay to play. Capitalism gon have everybody lonely lmao

I kind of like this whole “We won’t buy your liquor but we will air your state-suppressed news stories” niche that Canada’s apparently carved out.

The most impressive thing about Bari is her ability to violate ethical principles while indignantly claiming to defend them.
Weiss concluded: “We need to be able to make every effort to get the principals on the record and on camera. To me, our viewers come first, not a listing schedule or anything else. And that is my North Star, and I hope it's the North Star of every person in this newsroom.”

The "WE MUST DIALOGUE" crowd never quite explain the concrete process and sustainable outcomes dialogue should serve.

Treating dialogue as an end in itself is how Europe got in this mess in the first place.

Sad death of CBS News as actual journalism

And a reminder that CECOT is a human rights travesty, and everyone up and down the Trump admin involved in illegally sending people there belong in The Hague.

Metro reported net earnings of more than $1 billion in FY25.

Maybe Metro can spend some of the leftover money on an expensive consulting firm to help it figure out why it's not getting any sympathy on this.
