Probably my favourite work of ours. And it's spawned a dozen more followups in my mind I need to finish writing out!
"Edgy and twisted, Natural Born Sinners is a gripping gothic occult fiction novel, with splashes of cosmic horror and dark romance."

Seems Laszlo just woke up from a nightmare about the ceiling light again. So he needed cuddles after growling and barking at it a while. Then I stood up and the dining room chandelier was close to my head, and he looked very concerned for me. (FYI He has a lifelong fear of ceiling lights.)

Don't forget that she did this after saying your paper was publish worthy and once you proved it wasn't plagiarized she gave you a score in the 60s as punishment for humiliating her.

A professor once dedicated themselves to trying to destroy my academic career because I put the wrong edition of a book in my citations, and so the page numbers did not line up. She assumed it must've been plagiarism at work.

But here we are 20 years later, & academic journals just do fraud openly.
Hey @nature.com, have you got an explanation for how the hell THIS happened? & especially why you accepted a paper with such a bizarre piece of genAI slop in it?!
& more to the point, why we should take you seriously at all going forward?

Hearing what Americans eat at Thanksgiving is indistinguishable from parody of what Americans eat.

Like I expect to eventually learn that they eat deep fried hamburgers drizzled in corn syrup.

On tiktok I ran across the second Buffy and Angel shipper in two days and I try not to yuck people's yum but I'd ship Buffy with almost everyone (Xander not included) before Angel. Clem would be several notches above Angel for me.

Can you imagine being a parent with kids who play the game and seeing this interview?

Let's get real, they're making one of my books into a movie. That's that. Fuck using my dictatorial powers to prop up someone elses work. (But also no, I want more weird art films, with a lot less input from the financiers. Let some weird directors make shit unhindered.)
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

When George Costanza's therapist says "I thought you didn't believe in God?" and he says, "I do for the bad things!" He was really cooking.

It's so much more satisfying to curse a deity than random happenstance.

NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

We've moved away from Amazon exclusivity, but 95% of our sales still come from Amazon.

As Joshua says, don't forget the actual authors.

As a reader, I check Kobo and Smashwords before I buy on the Zon, but I'll never punish an author for picking the option that allows them to afford groceries.
Been screeching about this a lot in recent years, as the Amazon boycott push intensifies: supporting actual authors has gotten utterly forgotten in the process.

I see people constantly promoting sites that are either A) pirating, that give us nothing, or B) sites that pay authors next to nothing.
"Fuck Amazon, it's not like they aren't screwing over authors!!"

Amazon pays me 70% royalties on ebooks. You downloading my shit from Anna's pays me *nothing* you dumbass little shit.

"I'm so poor" - And? A bunch of you are steal from my poor friends who are struggling to buy groceries, too.
