Notebooks, google docs, discord channels, and ellipsus docs filled with ideas. Whatever system works is the best system haha. David Lynch had napkins of ideas.

Most of our planning happens in discord, or IRL, then we flesh it out in discord, then put it in a doc.

Massive authors have been full out banned from Amazon. Author's make up such a small percent of Amazon's income, and even big publishers have trouble making Amazon do anything. They even cut their author representative program for bestsellers a few years ago.

It's been really upsetting to stumble on AI videos of tragedy on tiktok. There's an account making videos of Mt. Everest deaths lately. Probably won't be able to use the app much longer because of unmarked AI and it sucks.

This is how a $45 shirt becomes $90 and then $180. This 2x multiplying through the chain is called keystone pricing.

So why can't the brand just sell it to a consumer for $90, cutting out the retail markup? Because if they become a retailer, they will need to raise prices to cover their new costs.

Always thought we watched the original Ju-On, but no, we'd never seen The Curse 1 & 2! They were straight-to-video low budget releases. But you can see the solid foundation, well done for it's budget.

The best of the series remains "Origins". It was so chilling, it slips into my thoughts regularly.

The new Sora shit doesn't have the same tells, and while it's still obvious, you basically have to watch the videos in slow motion to tell and I just hate it so much. And then you have people erasing the watermark, then other people putting the watermark on their non-AI videos to shitpost.

The internet has been a huge chunk of my life since I was 12 years old. It's where my best friends and my career lives.

I can't just not be on the internet, but so much joy has been sucked from it.

I hate having to scrutinize every video, every image, every piece of text to see if it's AI slop.

NYT reporting that Venezuela offered the US sweeping economic concessions, ceasing trade with China, etc., an ownership stake in all present & future oil/gold, to end the threat of war.
