Abolish ICE.
Indigenous actor Elaine Miles of "Northern Exposure" was detained by ICE at a Redmond bus stop. When she showed them her Tribal ID, they told her it was fake.
Native American actress gave ICE agents her tribal ID. They called it 'fake,' she says

Disabled folks have been canaries in the coal mine for this. A lot of folks can’t even get married because they’ll immediately lose everything because their spouse’s income will shoot them out of benefits range and it’s too expensive to be disabled in American without them.

This is an incredibly powerful piece, impeccably researched, and everyone should take the time to read it. It clarifies a lot of things I’ve instinctually felt but haven’t quite had the words to describe.
We have a “poverty trap” and it’s driving the destruction of social cohesion.

The “poverty line” is’t 35,000, it’s $150,000, and making more than one, and less than the other is worse than being “poor”.

Which is why the rage.

So, as we face the biggest bubble the stock market has ever seen, republicans have slashed the number of experts who work at the Fed, replaced many with cronies who are out of their depth, & are now destroying regulations that protect consumer deposits & our economy during financial crises.

USCIS appears to have arbitrarily rescinded her DACA while she was applying for residency over something which even if true (and she says it isn't) would not necessarily justify the loss of her status, which makes this a multi-agency conspiracy

I am ready to go beyond implication and say after reading the facts here that one of the most recognizable people working in the White House almost certainly had ICE arrest her nephew's mother as a favor to her brother
This article heavily implies that ICE is being used in a custody dispute to help Karoline Leavitt's brother get his son and have the mother locked up in ICE detention
"A woman with a family connection to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Revere, Massachusetts."

"a single person of this demographic may have committed a crime, therefore we must punish the entire demographic" is a policy response you may recognize from fascist governments dedicated to ethnic cleansing elsewhere.

The problem with ICE is not that it's targeting people who aren't criminals. The problem with ICE is that it's an unaccountable secret deportation police. It cannot be reformed under a better president. It can be made less terrible, but the instrument of repression remains for the next tyrant.

Albertans are rapidly warming up to the idea of a provincial election. The UCP is way out in the weeds beyond what people wanted and expected. If Smith wants to lead a fascist/libertarian regime, she needs to put that to a vote. #ableg
Interesting article by Breakenridge. And what is really interesting is the comments: usually Herald comments are so pro-UCP it feels like propaganda, but in this case they are significantly against the UCP stance. Maybe change is in the winds. #ableg #abpoli

Breakenridge: If recalls, petitions too much for Smith, it can be simplified to an election
If recalls, petitions and referendums are too much for Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, it can all be simplified down to a general election.

People need food. Market won’t provide it. Government should. It’s literally the whole point.
Turns out Mamdani's controversial proposal for government-run supermarkets isn't so novel. Other cities also are toying with the idea to bring fresh, affordable food to communities that do not have easy access to it. Good WSJ read (gift link)
