A court with a normal-ish conservative majority would have been tolerable. I'm not eager for court packing, impeaching justices, and other such options. But this court sticking around post-Trump is untenable. They've already torched their own legitimacy, the only question is what do we do about it.
Democrats need to lay the groundwork for reform by attacking the villains on the Supreme Court - loudly, angrily, personally, relentlessly. And they should start now.

I mean, there are so few contenders. L.A. is probably the most plausible candidate. But taxes just as high in California, and, unlike in NYC, which is one huge public space in which the rich can strut and fret their hour upon the stage, L.A. is too diffuse to maximize the display value of wealth.

This was never going to happen. Because there is nowhere else in the U.S. (and certainly not Florida, FFS) where an ultra-rich person can live as sumptuously as in NYC, or where they can lord it over the peasants so comprehensively (in terms of real estate, private schools, clubs, etc.)

I think the Netflix deal is ultimately better for movies and for WB than a Paramount deal (which I 100% believe would end WB) or a Comcast deal (which would take the two best-functioning studios in Hollywood and reduce them to one). I'm open to arguments, but "None of the above" isn't one.
