One problem Democrats face is that the job of chief electoral strategist (Schumer) is increasingly incompatible with being party leader (also Schumer). Both roles matter, but if you can't use your platform as leader to say what's right because you're too into the game, you don't belong in the job. >

Masked and heavily armed members of the gang known as "ICE" are roving the streets, causing schools to take protective measures to keep students and staff safe from gang activity...
Schools are usually shut down because of natural disasters. ICE is an unnatural disaster.
ICE is terrorizing schoolchildren in the Twin Cities again today

We have an entire class of Democratic "leadership" that has been told that it's dangerous and extreme to say this, and that does not understand that what Democrats want is for their leaders to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. That should not be as big an ask as it apparently is.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

He goes on to describe one of his officers being stopped when she was off-duty solely because she's non-white, harassed by ICE goons who slapped her phone out of her hand as she tried to record, only to be let go when she finally revealed she was a cop.
Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley: "We're hearing people being stopped with no cause & being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they're here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints. Every one of these individuals is a person of color... it has to stop"

People who were right about the need to divest from policing and criminalization are not platformed in the MSM. The ones platformed are former prosecutors, cops, and pundits who know nothing. Those people keep telling you about "training" and "new tech" "solutions." It's pathetic.

How mentally ill does trump have to be before he's removed from office?

The "better training will solve things" line is BS. As concentration camp scholar Andrea Pitzer explains, Hitler's Germany *also* had problems with abuses in its developing concentration camp system. Their answer was to put the SS in charge. degenerateart.beehiiv.com/p/into-the-a...

What Schumer is telling you here is that his strategy is just to whine about how bad things are. That's it. Just whine, and hope that wins the midterms.

Replace this man. Come on. He's done.
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.
Zero Chucks Left to Give
Chuck Schumer now sees a path back to the majority. Can he manage his way through it?

Gonna buy a drone remote and stand around at protests looking at the screen and then looking at ICE and then looking up in the sky panicked and then looking around everywhere.

Note I will not also be buying a drone, just the remote, so I will not be breaking any law. (Which I have never done.)

ICE has always functioned as a terrorist organization. Their sole purpose is nativist violence. It is profoundly shameful that the United States allows them to exist at all.
I am not exaggerating when I say ICE functions as a terrorist organization in the Twin Cities. The goal seems to be to harass and frighten people (the ones who are lucky enough to not be abducted, at least) and it's deeply unsettling when you learn they're in your neighborhood.

From Minneapolis To Arizona, ICE Targets Native Peoples - PopularResistance.Org
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has escalated a nationwide campaign of racial profiling and arbitrary detention against Indigenous people, seizing members of federally recognized tribes in Minnesota, Arizona, and Oklahoma in what tribal leaders are denouncing as open treaty violations and a direct attack on Native sovereignty. What began earlier this month with mass arrests in Minneapolis has now spread across state lines. Native citizens are being stopped, detained, and threatened despite presenting valid tribal identification and proof of U.S. citizenship.
