Really a fucking shame that’s for at least 25 years we’ve seen children as optimizable.
why is it that my kindergartener is doing this instead of sitting on a rug listening to stories

Somehow we’ve ended up in a position where the richest most powerful people in the world are innocent benevolent bystanders while a college professor with no tenure is part of a decadent and corrupt establishment that controls everything
The perfect Yglesias post: declaring “billionaires are good, actually,” as if it was some bold, counterintuitive take.

Good news for English fans just catching up. Scott Boland is top scoring in the second innings and the match seems like it's not got long to go.

If I was England, I'd train up a bunch of gigantic post-Guardiola beasts who only hit down the ground and leave everything else. Diet of long-throws, set-pieces, route-one, voting harder for Nigel Garage and #BrexitTwo. Then I'd be blaming Marcus Rashford and Jude Bellingham. #TheAshes

currently my favorite character is a tossup between manosphere bautista or kate hudson chewing scenery, but janelle monáe just showed up and my gut says they'll quickly run away with it

I was asked what I thought now that #pluribus has reached seven episodes.
I’m not seeing any of the liberal subtext some folks are seeing. But I’ve learned to watch the show by fast forwarding through the long, artsy stretches where no one speaks.
There were exactly 2 lines of interesting dialogue.
