This whole thread is kind of fascinating to me, because it's predicated on an insurmountable ideological distinction between "liberalism" and "leftism", and then all of the examples he gives are purely arguments about aesthetics, style, emotion, association, rhetoric, etc.

The neuralgia pain is so intense and so relentless that its impact is starting to show on my face. I wouldn't say I've aged faster over the last two years, but I do clearly look exhausted. I've suddenly got sunken serial killer eyes.

Mostly white men in their 60s and 50s who grew up on The Clash or Hüsker Dü.
