Oh, here's a big surprise. The transphobes don't believe in ADHD either.
then, the transphobes , feeling victorious at how many people they have made unhappy and despairing in the previous week, move on to anything else that has a spectrum and the possibility of more colours than they can conceive - such hateful people - they cannot understand anything that is not THEM

I know this! It’s not just that most games seem to be Games As A Service subscription bullshit now, it’s that Super Monkey Ball is awesome and you can “borrow” your father’s GameCube for nothing.

Leaving aside the immense "Hello fellow kids!" vibes of launching a Substack in er December 2025 it's yet another confirmation that this Labour government's approach to comms is to focus on the channels with the most fascists.

Which is er interesting...

My first MacBook, a review after 20 minutes of use:

I will never buy another Windows 11 laptop again. By this point in my last laptop I wasn’t even halfway to the interminable setting of all the configuration settings to the same ones I used on the previous install, rather than the ones MS want.

I think that's why he seems, for the first time in ages, genuinely rattled by this stuff. Because it shows him doing the less socially permissible form of racism, and reminds everyone that this skill had to be learned

[shamelessly both promoting Dorian's point and adding my own]

Farage has always been very good at doing sort of golf club racism. He has an instinctive grasp on what codes to use and how much he can say before people recoil that his heirs and imitators lack. (...more)
It's revealing about taboos around racism that the visceral bullying racism of schoolboy Farage cuts through while the much more consequential thinly veiled racism of adult Farage doesn't. Many people need that veil and flinch when it's removed. You can advocate racist policies but not say the words

Speaking as a former immigrant married to an immigrant (both NHS employees) I'm particularly revolted that a Labour MP is using protection of the service I work for to spread racist narratives about immigrants.

Finally got around to hearing the 2023 remaster of one of my fave Pets LPs, Relentless.

They’ve cleaned it up A LOT.

I think I hate that. Like, as a 2am dancefloor obscurity it *should* come at you through fog.

Quite breathtaking story - military grade drones at Dublin airport which flew on the path Zelensky's plane took. The drones reached the flight path of his plane exactly the time it should have been there, but just missed it because Zelensky arrived ahead of schedule:
Four unidentified military-style drones breached no-fly zone to target Zelenskyy's arrival in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating whether the drones took off from land in Dublin or from an undetected ship.

If your choice is between an existential risk to your organisation, vs being a fascist collaborator, and you make the difficult choice to be a collaborator...

...then you are still a collaborator.
Like, I'm sorry the fascists are giving you difficult choices. But that's what fascists fucking do. The only legit answer is "fuck you make me". The only answer that shows you have actual fucking principles not preferences is "fuck you make me". And that sucks. But here we are.

Furious at this. TERFs and Gender Critical people are a loud, radicalized, wealthy minority, forcing groups who've done the right thing for years into horrible positions that none of them want. Stop buying Harry Potter. Fight for your trans brothers and sisters. They'll come for you next.
i hope every single person who still buys harry potter merch or engages with that franchise is happy that they're literally making girl guides cry

girl guides uk have been forced very much against their will to exclude trans girls. full statement is here: www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-...

This is how Chris Mason, like a child filled with wonder, described "the choreography and theatre that surrounds a Budget" in Feb 2024, when a male Tory Chancellor was in post.

"Plans, or even just options, can be floated... Reaction to them can be tested. Opponents can be teased or wrongfooted." 👀
