can someone even explain what 'financial groundhog day' even means? it's not a term that exactly summons visions of a doomsday scenario
i mean i would have liked to have had the "root cause" of my adhd addressed with stimulant medication but they don't want us to have that either so
More I read of this piece the more I feel how few "experts" on neurodivergent individuals ever speak to us. It's hard enough to get reasonable accommodations as it is. Rather than reducing those available we should be working to increase them, including for adults.

(that said i'm a cheater anyway because i will definitely have the occasional bivalve as i'm not entirely convinced of their sentience and rope grown mussels are ultra sustainable)
in response to the previous thread, vivera makes a pretty okay vegan shawarma and oumph kebab from iceland isn't bad either! ofc, i suppose nothing really beats falafel in the shawarma/kebab replacement department though
pope leo disbanding opus dei is cool but if he really wants to get my attention he can do courage international next
and no, small town/village doesn't count as rural

if campbeltown and mallaig can have flats, so can your town
barring actual rural areas, i think single family detached homes are fundamentally immoral
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
i really don't think it was meant to be a dig at the greens or refusal to work with other indy parties! it's just that we're not going to get another referendum under this wm government and it makes sense not to promise one barring extraordinary circumstances
yeah i'm 99% sure that the reason we went for the whole "only an snp majority counts as a mandate" thing is so people can shut up about us not having gotten another referendum yet when we inevitably do not get a majority (but snp+greens is)
love to be 100% convinced that what i have feels like covid but keep testing negative on the lfts
ugh annoying i definitely linked it once on my old twitter but i can't find it now

horrifyingly it is seared into my memory and will never leave though
was this the one where he said he couldn't get it up if he knew the woman was in birth control?
obviously this is about new zealand but the technology isn't any different and our populations are very similar

A few thoughts as we reach the end of Hate Crime Awareness Week. I have the privilege of representing one of the most diverse constituencies in Scotland, and see every day the strength, joy, and beauty our diversity brings.

Whether Farage becomes PM or not doesn’t really feel like it matters any more. He’s won the narrative, his policies are being implemented. This isn’t good for Britain and it’s certainly not good for Scotland, and the only escape hatch from this awful xenophobic mess is independence.
My American partner works in a specialist role for a multinational, one of three globally.

Her visa is in renewal. Her father died this week. She can't go back until the Home Office "computer says yes". Her route to ILR has now been restarted to begin at zero of ten years, after years here already.
sooo has anyone ever had a case of covid that made your teeth hurt?
a number of your mutuals live here!
This makes total sense but it had never occured to me that filters do literally nothing
(sorry i just really don't think it passes 2 & 3!)
(and just in case you think i'm being biased because i don't like their beliefs: i am a mega nat but i also think the grainger tests were misapplied in the case that found scottish independence to be a protected belief)
i'm rambling here obviously and i have a horrific fever but it is just so fucked! i can't think of any established religious belief let alone made up circa 2015 nonsense that we've extended this degree of tolerance for incredibly bigoted behaviour
