Literally EVERYTHING else aside:

Officers involved in shootings - even shootings that everybody agrees were justified - always take time off to emotionally process their experience, go to therapy, process it.

Sending somebody right back out says "this is an everyday part of your job, expect it."
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

We have reached the point where a judge literally has to order federal law enforcement officials not to destroy or mess with evidence from a homicide scene.
BREAKING: Judge Tostrud -- a Trump appointee — has quickly granted a restraining order, barring the administration from "destroying or altering evidence" taken from today's shooting. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

plot twist
🧵While ICE is nabbing innocent 4-year-olds, DHS allowed a suspect in the largest jewelry heist in US history to self-deport to South America in December.

Prosecutors were planning to try the case and send him to prison, but DHS gave him a free flight out instead.
Anger as suspect in $100M jewelry heist avoids trial – because ICE deported him
An attorney representing some of the jewelry companies impacted in the heist said Jeson Nelon Presilla Flores’s deportation ‘exposes a gap in the system that deserves transparency’

People are missing a big thing about the saga of the detained 5-year-old. When Vance calls the father an "illegal alien" it seems to reflect a little-known Trump admin move that attempts to nullify asylum claims before they are even heard.

This policy is a horror:

This is “Operation PARRIS,” a top reason that DHS is in Minneapolis.

The goal is to arrest 5,600 lawfully present refugees and take them to detention centers in Texas to be interrogated about their status. There is NO investigation first. They are arresting everyone; grab first, question later.
Here's another ruling in Minnesota, also yesterday, releasing a man who was forcefully detained by ICE despite having *active* refugee status. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Operation PARRIS is one of the most heinous things this administration has done yet. Trump’s people ordered ICE to round up 5,600 legally present refugees, people who have done NOTHING wrong, with no warning, and jailed them in Texas to be interrogated about their status.

A state government is having to file an emergency lawsuit to be able to ensure that the federal government is not actively obstructing justice.

I'm calling bullshit on the media narrative that JD Vance tried to "soften" things in Minneapolis. He blamed the left for ICE violence and called the 5-year-old's father an "illegal alien" even though he's lawfully applying for asylum.

New piece from me:

Trump’s ICE Goons Detained a 5-Year-Old. Then JD Vance Made It Worse.
Much of the media is treating the vice president’s Minneapolis visit as an attempt to lower the temperature. If anything, he raised it.

Footage taken moments before a struggle shows that the man was filming, holding a phone in his right hand, backing up. His left hand is up, visible, palm facing out, as he backs away from the area. An agent uses his right hand, on the torso of the victim, pushing him back, while the man complies.

“What stayed with Amundson most, she said, was not the adrenaline of the moment but the realization that came while she was holding the agent's head in her hands and keeping his airway open.”

"I was hit so hard with the fact that this man would not do this for me," she said.
They were eventually allowed one phone call as a thanks for saving the agent’s life.

They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”

I'm not one for false optimism. But what I witnessed today in Minneapolis was tremendous, both in scale and exuberance. It was a stunning answer to the federal assault on Minnesota, a show of solidarity that gives us something to hold on to during times that are unforgiving.

Extreme cold didn't stop the shutdown on Friday as some 100 faith leaders were arrested, residents stayed home from work, and an estimated 50,000 or more marched through downtown Minneapolis.

This is 100% FALSE. Immigration judges do NOT play any role in issuing administrative warrants. They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves. ICE’s own training materials say they can’t be used for a search of a home!

Here’s a blank warrant form. Note who signs it.

I’m shocked, shocked…
There you have it, the Board of Peace is nothing more than a corrupt real estate deal dressed up as diplomacy with the sole purpose of enriching Trump and his favoured cronies.
Trump makes concluding remarks. He says Gaza ceasefire push began because he is “a real estate person at heart, and it’s all about location, and I said, ‘look at this location, on the sea, look at this beautiful piece of property’”.
