Susanna Reid asks Darren Jones what British companies who export to the US should do to prepare for a possible increase in tariffs.

Darren Jones replies: "you shouldn't prepare for a hypothetical"

I'm going to be back in Nairobi from 16 February for the continuation of the inquest - any journalists interested in covering please feel free to DM or email me at pdkmitchell at gmail dot com
I'm in Nairobi this week for the opening of the inquest into my sister Kate's death here, almost four years ago, which is still very much unsolved. The case has been beset by obstructions and evasions; it's taken us a long time to get this far and there may be more to come.

crowdsourcing: looking for online articles/essays that provide a comprehensive account of how the anti-trans backlash was a highly coordinated & well-funded effort. I have lots of examples that tell part(s) of the story, but none that lay the whole thing out. pls share any you can think of. thanks!

Every autistic person has been screaming this stuff for decades while genocidal shitheads have been saying we need to be eradicated.
No, autistics do not “lack empathy”: “Where researchers had assumed impairment, they found autistic people applying moral principles more consistently—even to strangers, even when costly.” By Ludmila Pradlova.

What the World Got Wrong About Autistic People
For decades, autism research compared autistic people to animals, denied them moral sensitivity, and assumed autistic traits made them miserable. All wrong.

A lot of great music in this mix, of course, from the brilliant Dave Huismans (2562/A Made Up Sound). Who also happens to work on the education team at Utrecht library. What a legend. ra.co/podcast/1034

Stop the lies.

normal boring anarchist caveats apply but i now have a general secretary who has, amongst other things, promised to not implement the recent supreme court judgement. whereas christina mcanea's immediate reaction was to remove all available trans guidance and refuse to speak to us. bye bitch.
🚨I am delighted to have been elected as UNISON's next General Secretary.
