the idea you can meaningfully assert true human needs from artificial ones in the year 2025 is idiotic. there is a continuous structural process under capitalism to assert what human needs are because markets demand ever increasing consumption to continue expanding. No one is outside that.

what then *isn't* bourgeois? this system of production spans the globe. Our concept of queerness is a result of the anonymity of the city and urbanization requiring wage labourers to live in close proximity to others. are traffic lights bourgeois? fish fingers? is geography? are LGBT+ non profits?

treating this with a seriousness it doesn't deserve: what does this mean? is something bourgeois because it's a product of our current system of production? queerness *is* a product of the modern city, which itself is a product of enclosure and employers need for factory labour.
