Bluesky was literally meant to be a cryptobro social network for grifters, LinkedIn sludge, and libertarians who know way too much about age of consent laws.

Jack Dorsey *left* when instead of weird and off-putting cryptonerds, trans people started hanging out here.
Can you think of examples where people use technologies differently from what the developers intended, whether unintentionally or as an act of resistance?

yeah anyone who thinks this is a great idea wants a five year old victim to have to choose if they want their relative to die
As a child protection professional, I can tell you the death penalty is NOT an awesome solution to child sexual abuse. Most children are abused by family members; they will not report if their family members will die as a result.

Well, this headline and framing rather buries the lede. It's not that two Latvians in the stands held up the flag of Greenland at a US vs Denmark match, in an arena full of US flags. It's that security told them to quit it for "safety reasons, because there could be American aggressive people."
Fans who raised Greenland's flag at US-Denmark Olympic hockey game say it was a pro-European gesture
Two fans who raised a flag of Greenland as the United States played Denmark in men’s hockey at the Winter Olympics say they did so as a gesture of European support for the island and for Denmark.

This is really complicated. The situation in the US drives the global vaccine market and the fact that currently HHS is run by anti-vaxxers means everything is very uncertain.

But I agree, Moderna Canada may have an opportunity to step up. We need to figure out how to make it happen.
I think Canada should review the vaccine and take up the slack. We have a brand new Moderna factory just outside of Montreal that can make 100 million doses annually, far beyond what our population needs

This absolutely applies to (especially Western) Canada as well.
Just going to point out again that our arbitrary political rules permit Republicans to attack urban areas with impunity but strictly forbid the faintest whiff of condescension toward rural areas by Democrats
“The first thing I thought was, ‘What is she talking about?’” said Bryan Fish, the vice mayor of Culver City, whom everyone calls Bubba but doesn’t look like someone whom everyone calls Bubba. “The only crime here,” he added, “is like the $18 strawberry at Erewhon.”

Everyone’s talking about Swarovski right now so let’s take a second and dive into the fact that they were NAZI Nazis. Like full-on Seig Heil, prosecuted after the war level Nazis and the modern company has done everything they can to hide all their archives and prevent anyone accessing them.

The article starts in 2017, and appears to omit a key point:
in 2013, Musk “admitted to his biographer” that the Hyperloop concept was really a ruse to kill California’s high-speed rail project by convincing legislators to cancel it. “No actual plans to build it”

This is not a valid thing to think. You simply cannot have people with ideas like this in your society and must remove them from it.

This kind of misogynist, nationalist white-supremacist pedophile garbage must be forcibly rooted out.

To spread these ideas must be brutally criminalized.
