Hello! 👋
A lot of new bots & sketchy profiles on here lately. If I don’t follow you back, pls say hi & ask. Also, if you’re skeptical if I’m a bot, or want to know a bit more about me, click below. 👇
Hello to all the lovely ppl who have recently followed me. I’m at an odd career crossroads rn, so my posts are everywhere—but they mostly orbit around Qs on how to actually make a better world for the kids. All the kids.
the worst of the worst kinds of dudes u knew back in the day who sat at the back of class or skipped out and smoked in the pit, harassed girls, and did petty crimes around town are the kinds of guys who have been put in charge of the regime that used to be known as the united states
Before you ask, yes apparently this is real. He must be taking comedy lessons and substances from Elon.

I am old enough to remember when the unis forced everyone to return to the classrooms during covid, refused to allow anyone to take a gap year, and endangered us all because they wanted the rent money. But I guess they have a new scam now. Won't even need students soon!

Excellent investigative work - follow the money! MMY, my parents guru, targeted the wealthy. Cults seduce through luring others by association.

While a new concept to me, an Epstein or Russia tie to TM is not really that far fetched.

Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

So what can be done - and are there any productivity lessons that might be equally applicable to the rest of us?

How is this a shock to anyone who's been paying even the most minimal attention to what Trump has been saying and his admin have been doing all year? I posted this in February, for example. Officials who simply chose not to believe it because it's all too difficult might want to rethink their career

Conflict of interest? Never heard of it! More like, profiting fm your interests is what it’s all about, & if u don’t, you’re a moron.
We just published a deep look into David Sacks, the White House's AI and Crypto czar. The story examines how he has been able keep hundreds of stakes in AI-related and crypto companies as he influences gov policy in those very industries.

Appalling that Cambridge and rest of Russel Group are giving Farage/Reform - grifters, racists and Kremlin assets - the time of day (and by extension, legitimacy). Quite sure others with connection to these universities feel the same. Along with not obeying in advance, don’t tolerate the intolerant!
Karl Popper’s sage advice for democracies - don’t tolerate the intolerant!
“If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.”

that liminal space between surrender and complicity and complicity & collusion
Isn't it @timothysnyder.bsky.social who says 'Don't surrender in advance'

and here we are Cambridge University of all places - surrendering so far in advance there's no actual threat yet...
Well Cambridge university has a history of incubating Russian spies so no change there then. Treason masked as intellectual pragmatism.

Steve Miller had a song about this:

“Troy Nehls is a rep down in Texas
You know he sez he knows what the facts is
He ain't gonna stick around n face justice
He makes his livin' off skimmin yo taxes
So he, whoa, whoa, he gonna slip away
An his twin’ll step in to grift the very next day

This is an issue that deeply effects my local community too, located near an Air National Guard Base.

Residents were found to have levels up to 4x the average of PFAS in their blood.

Elevated levels can be linked to water contamination.

It's in many communities.

www.atsdr.cdc.gov/pfas/exposur...
More cities are seeing PFAS pollution in drinking water. Here's what Louisville found
Workers at the drinking water plant in Louisville, Ky. saw a sudden spike in the level of a 'forever chemical.' They traced it up the Ohio River to a factory embroiled in a pollution lawsuit.
