Hello to all the lovely ppl who have recently followed me. I’m at an odd career crossroads rn, so my posts are everywhere—but they mostly orbit around Qs on how to actually make a better world for the kids. All the kids.

Literally a week ago Musk said that falsely labeling people as Nazis "should be treated as incitement to murder." And here he is (falsely) labeling the EU as Nazis.

US government adopted the far-right Great Replacement myth and is now demanding NATO countries to dismantle the EU and the European project. They themselves frame it as a binary choice. Essentially the end of NATO as we know it.

Why does Eu & Canadian govt still maintain presence on X? It is compromised. Not neutral. It is absolutely an unacceptable standard of practice for any ethical democracratic org to be there. Exit is needed.

Elon Musk is on a quest to weaken and destroy state power in all Western democracies so he can expand his own corporate power, reach, and control over our societies.

Incredibly instructive reporting on what appears well on its way to becoming the biggest, most concentrated, most energy- and resource-intensive, and most speculative wave of capital investment ever.

Totally agree. Shut down X in Eu & Canada @mark-carney.bsky.social @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu @ndp.ca At the very least get all government affiliated off of that hate laundering dangerous cess pool. I object to my tax dollars supporting anything on that grey zone platform.
The US (currently) is no friend of Europe. It needs to show some respect for the values and laws in other nations. In my view X should be closed down in Europe if it doesn’t comply.

There's a bunch of webcams on top of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano so you can watch it erupt. The latest eruption just straight up assassinated one of them. The lava fountain on the left is landing directly on top of one of the webcams.

Jared Kushner's involvement was "not mentioned in Paramount's press release on Monday morning about its $108 billion bid, nor were participating sovereign wealth funds from Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Qatar."

fancy that
Jared Kushner is part of Paramount's hostile bid for Warner Bros. Discovery
Paramount is telling WBD shareholders that it has a smoother path to regulatory approval than does Netflix.

You come seeking, in the night, the flowers that you picked
And that he has seen on the water, lying in her long veils
White Ophelia floating, like a great lily.”

I want to build him an entire house to loll about in.

The decentralized internet systems that capitalism builds reflect this

The reason why Elon, Vance and everyone are piling on the EU right now is that it's the wild card. It's the only major player who is not entirely on board yet with Sphere of Influence 2.0. This is why, over the next few years, you will see an all-out effort by the US to support EU's right-wing gov.
Sounds like we are going back to a 19th-century "sphere of influence" world order. Everyone is beginning to mark their territory. The EU is the wild card. Both Russia & the US covet pieces of the EU. China, meanwhile, needs a rich, but not necessarily strong Europe, as a buyer for its goods.
The Trump admin announced a “Trump Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine. The original doctrine was a warning to Europe to stay out of the Americas. The new collary is a shot across the bow at China. www.politico.com/news/2025/12...
