You know, some people say they can't tell when it's Anna or when it's me writing social copy. I just don't understand that.
It's beginning to look a lot like Mid-nighhtttt...

The #WoW Midnight pre-patch launches on January 20. That means I only have a month to continue my forum campaign to reduce transmog prices before the transmog changes go live. (There's more in the patch than transmog, but I'm a one-issue voter.)

Get ready to roll those Void Elf Demon Hunters, because the Midnight pre-patch launches on January 20, 2026, immediately after Legion Remix ends. WoW patch

This is an incredibly good book, and not just for people interested in Blizzard games. It's just an incredibly good book.
The ebook version of my book Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment is on sale for just $4 today, or about 0.00000000482% of what it cost Netflix to buy Warner Bros.! www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/jason...

The transmog system in the Midnight beta is worse than not getting invited to Lor'themar and Thalyssra's wedding.

I SAID WHAT I SAID.

I am too upset about transmog to even write a post about how upset I am about transmog.

It’s clear no one in DC has any kind of plan to improve American healthcare. The Republican plan is to buy it yourself, while Democrats can’t organize a fight for Medicaid or the the ACA.

Medicare for All is the only plan anyone has offered, and anyone who doesn’t support it needs to be primaried.

I used to think people who said "Primary all of them." In relation to Dems were being "a bit much."

I was wrong, and they are right. These people are not representing us. They are not fighting for us.

Primary all of them. Every single one that isn't willing to be a Mamdani.

I looked in to what it would cost to take a train into NYC for a day trip to see the Beetlejuice musical while it’s back on broadway for a couple of months.

Show tickets are pretty reasonable, but train tickets would be $400 (coach).

So, uh, maybe not.

Look, the winter festivals are traditionally spooky times. You begin the spooky at the thinning of the veil at the start of the new year (Samhain), and you keep on scaring each other until the light comes back after the Solstice. Slap some greens on the giant skeleton and party on.
I know October is over but listen, there’s no reason we can’t extend spooky season all the way to Christmas. Who’s going to stop us? Mariah Carey? The guardian of holiday cheer and all things jolly? Possibly… but we won’t know if we don’t try.

Guys. GUYS.
When you're trying to talk about #WoW player housing (aka house transmog) but your co-hosts cannot stop talking about hats.

This and very much more weirdness in this week's Blizzard Watch Podcast, which is now live!

I was really looking forward to having a room wall to wall with pillows.
Accidentally hit the maximum number of items in my Midnight player home attempting to make a room full of nothing but pillows. (After making a kitchen and a dining room and two bedrooms and an indoor garden and a library and an office.) Maybe I could delete a couple of rooms and keep adding pillows?

Blizzard: We'll keep everyone focused on testing new content by removing old portals.
Me: THE HECK YOU WILL.

Anyway, I've spent maybe a combined hour in Silvermoon and Eversong, but an uncountable number of hours in past expansions looking for anything new.
While everyone else has been testing new content, I have been traveling all over Azeroth looking for new #WoW profession recipes for housing decor... and I found a whole lot. Here's all the decor crafting recipes that we've found in the Midnight alpha so far.
All of the housing decor you can craft with professions in Midnight (that we've found so far)

I'm taking the money I used to give to Disney and splitting it between NPR and PBS. I canceled because of Kimmel, but it's a hard sell to go back with a price increase to boot.

Meanwhile I listen to NPR almost every day. Something's gotta give (and I guess it's me).

Got my Covid shot this week and you should too. I felt rotten the day after but nowhere near as bad as if I got Covid, plus I won’t give it to anyone else.

Get vaccinated if you can. Be careful out there if you can’t. (Probably be careful either way, really.)
