I think it was @chadstanton.bsky.social who just said that not every decision the administration is making is about pocketing cash, some of it is much darker. and here you go. They're willing to forego taxpayer money in the till in exchange for fucking with immigrants just because they can
Exclusive: Trump administration officials are considering eliminating multi-language services at the IRS, according to records obtained by The Post, a move that would make it dramatically more difficult for non-English-speakers to file their taxes.

Every single journalist need to ask about the children victims of Jefferey Epstein and Vance McMahon when they are remotely near the orange guy.

Otherwise? You are aiding and abetting pedophiles and sex trafficking.

Posting on Bluesky ain’t getting anybody back from El Salvador.

I’m all about information being amplified. But no one’s doing anything except calling for action.

8/ This is a watershed moment, as Trump thumbs his nose at a Supreme Court ruling, gaslighting the public by pretending his won 9-0 when he lost 9-0.

If we normalize this, there's no end. He can lock up or remove anyone. We will no longer exist in a democracy.

Trump announces his tariffs, which are (somehow?) related to the trade barriers other countries are imposing on the U.S.

But...
THE NUMBERS HE'S PRESENTING BEAR NO RELATION TO REALITY.

It would be absurd to call these reciprocal tariffs. They're grievances.

what booker is doing right now is an example of what i mean when i say things like “we need more ambition right now.” there is room in american politics right now for people with ambition to take big stands and reap the rewards. he’s doing it!

I think more people need to view this as a start. It’s not enough, but “enough” in these circumstances is going to be more than most of us can imagine. So I will take a start—if it is truly a start. But I’m willing to believe that we have collected the tinder for a spark to get us going.
I'm fine with people saying Booker is failing the moment and not doing nearly enough to stop Trump and Musk because that's true of almost everyone, especially me. But doing more is good, and we should encourage everyone to do the next right thing, including ourselves.

Peoples lives aren’t metaphors. Demand that our elected officials talk about our lives & their godawful plans in plain honest language, because it’s our lives. We aren’t a house remodeling job, we aren’t a car engine to tinker with, we aren’t a balance sheet. We are the people.

This week, as the number of confirmed measles cases rose to 483, the CDC buried a report that would’ve stressed the importance of getting vaccinated.

The move was “not normal at all,” one agency staff member said.

The CDC Buried a Measles Forecast That Stressed the Need for Vaccinations
The move — along with the CDC’s explanation — is a sign that the nation’s top public health agency may be falling in line under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime critic of vaccines.
