I’m watching “Swallow” (2019) - seems appropriate for Thanksgiving - and the color design is amazing

Scouting is co-ed and inclusive worldwide (except Saudi Arabia and the UAE and a few such places) and has been for decades; Scouts US has been playing catch up but has done well accommodating everyone
Congress requires DOD to facilitate Scouts activities but the Secretary can ignore the law in cases where it is “detrimental to national security." Hegseth is preparing to do so because the scouts have become too inclusive of girls.

One of the greats; if you see Udo Kier in the credits, even in a tiny role, you're guaranteed a wild ride. "Blood for Dracula" is a must-see, but not for the faint of heart (or good-of-taste ...)
We’re crushed to hear the news that the great Udo Kier has passed at the age of 81. As iconic as he was prolific, Kier’s contributions to the genre span nearly 300 screen credits, from BLOOD FOR DRACULA to BACURAU and beyond. Our condolences go out to his friends, family and legions of fans.

Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

I have very good typing skills, but even more, I have very good laziness skills, and when I learned I could automate a lot of my office admin work with WordPerfect macros, I managed to turn typing into programming. Good timing, too, since typing ceased to be a job soon thereafter.

In Tesco’s this afternoon: an elderly Polish man at the self-checkout, trying to buy a pint of milk and a white radish. There is no picture for the radish on the machine. The assistant doesn’t know what it is. She asks a colleague: “It’s a white radish.” There is no entry for it on the machine.
