I'm like "You're gonna come for Bill Clinton? Uhhh, okay? Cool? You want help bagging him up for the dumpster, 'cause I'll do that for free, no problem, happy to help."
I am still amazed at how thick Republicans are that Democratic voters really, *really* do not like the Clintons.

They're establishment-popular, not actually popular.

"You come for Trump we'll come for Clinton!" they say, ignoring the constant stream of memes and jeering over Bill.

You know what I miss? MLP: Friendship is Magic. I know everything has to end eventually, but I was just thinking...dang. That was fun. Miss it a lot.

Yeaaaaah, time for an Equestria Girls binge rewatch.

Reminder that this is a man who worked on 128 episodes of a very popular TV series, and he's got to sell off all of his shit just to afford cancer treatment.

SO, HOW IS THE AVERAGE PERSON SUPPOSED TO?
James Van Der Beek is auctioning off ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and ‘Varsity Blues’ merchandise to pay for his cancer treatments.

I don't use the word "evil" a lot. It's hackneyed, over the top, cliched.

But this? This is fucking evil.
Nightmarish idea for a startup tbh

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

And now that this is coming to light for those same people to start moving on to "well maybe it isn't such a big deal that these men have engaged grooming and pedophilia?" is going to make me vomit up my entire skeleton in inchoate rage.

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

If one of my favorite people is on the list - if one of my FAMILY MEMBERS is on the list - I will be very sad as I disown and disavow them for life.

Can't help but notice that this question gets asked by cult members who wrongly believe that everyone else is also in a cult.
"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.

This is a moral issue, and anyone framing it as a team issue is showing their shocking lack of morality. I DGAF what party anyone claims: if they hurt kids, throw their asses in prison.
"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.

Harmony is ace but accepting of everybody's kinks, she just wants you to be safe. Jessie is openly a BDSM switch, currently dating a half-demon, and their idea of foreplay is beating the shit out of each other to see who wins. Supernatural healing factors: useful in many exciting ways!
In the spirit of kink positivity--what kinks do everyone's characters have (if this is something your characters have)?

*Important note: Ace people and characters can and do also have kinks!

I researched this for the Daniel Faust novels and, just like Dan says, no. Victims are LESS likely to become offenders than anyone else.
Are child victims of predation more likely to become predators themselves?

If so, could breaking the cycle (using maximum kill or no-parole penalties) reduce the prevalence of a crime you say is unavoidable?
