We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

the total lack of interest from business and media elites in defending the liberal norms that underpin civil society and like, modern capitalism for that matter has been truly shocking
we are in really unsettling place that we're facing a deeply unpopular regime that is making everything appreciably worse but the people with the power to stand up to them and takes steps to maintain basic political stability are capitulating without a fight

the thing everyone is going to have to accept is that the post-trump period, whenever it comes, will not and cannot be a project of national unity, it must be a project of partisan project of renewal, in the same way that reconstruction and the new deal were partisan projects of renewal.

random but I actually noticed several hundred people ransacking a prominent Washington DC government building a few years ago, any chance we can get started with them? it was on video so it should be pretty easy to track them down

enormous violence is being done to us by unaccountable elites. they rob us blind, they send our neighbors to foreign dungeons or murder them in the street. they cut healthcare to build concentration camps and conduct a livestreamed genocide. they rape and traffic and brazenly get away with it all

Really impossible to overstate how completely this guy has failed at every aspect of being an opposition leader over the past six months. Jeffries is a truly inspiring example for every soulless careerist who would rather be king of nothing than stand for anything decent in the world.

My favorite answer today was Jaren Jackson Jr. when asked if it's important to him to stay in Memphis:

"Would I say that? Of course. I love this place. I mean, this is where I live. I'm totally about to go back to my home. Like in a couple of minutes. That sounds the best."
