Oxford Mutual Aid (O.M.A.) have tallied up their 2025 in their latest newsletter: With the help of more than 500 volunteers, they packed and delivered more than 10,000 food parcels in Oxford last year. An eye-opening 885 of their more than food parcel recipients were children under 12.

how many very large and long term studies have there been on this now, that everyone who's "just concerned" is free to ignore? but their feelings are all that ever matters, over any number of lives
If this was any other set of medical treatments, the entire medical community would be scrambling to study how they could improve their own treatments.

Luckily VPNs haven't been invented.
X Safety have posted that they have now made some changes to operate within the law.

This includes "geoblocking the ability of all users to generate images of real people in bikinis, underwear, and similar attire via the Grok account and in Grok in X in those jurisdictions where it’s illegal".

A genuinely appalling response from the BBC, arrogantly contemptuous of the legal detail in favour of whatever misleading narrative their 'gender critical' friends have peddled them over lunch.
The BBC is nakedly peddling fake news - and refusing to apologise for doing so - in furtherance of its transphobic agenda. 🧵

It's depressing how much UK political messaging relies, not on promising better services, but by planting the suspicion that someone, somewhere, is getting something you didn't. We're told to expect next to nothing from the state, to the extent that supporting vulnerable children is framed as theft.
Third time in not much more than a week for the "falconry, ski-ing & horses" anonymous brief on SEND. What's worse: the Westminster insiders who put this toxic, nasty crap about or the journalists who blithely repeat it? PS ask an OT professional about autism, dyspraxia, core stability & horses

i beg people who use computers to actually understand how computers work. a survey opened in chrome cannot grab your account from the discord client.

the survey was legitimate, hosted by discord's customer experience platform, connected to their official internal SSO portal. it was a real survey.
hey so this is blatant false information punishing people for doing the right thing. no, it was not a "grabber". it was a reputable survey site that discord has used previously for limited surveys.

nothing can """grab""" information if you dont provide it, which an anonymous survey didnt ask for.

Banning X would have loads of upsides and really not many downsides for the government. The argument for shutting it down (distribution of CSAM) is incontrovertible, the people who are its most avid users hate the government anyway, and it would address threats to social cohesion and public order.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Louder for the people in the back: parents are not forcing trans identities onto kids. There is no trans 'epidemic'.

We have fought to make it a bit less terrifying for kids to tell their parents they're trans.

That's the difference. That's the only difference.

Trans kids have always been trans.

Love you all, but I don't know about this trend of quote posting garbage takes to dunk on them. It ends up giving the OP all the attention in the world—and yeah, a lot of it is negative but you know what they say about all publicity being good publicity. This is what sub(posts) were invented for 👀😂

i don’t see how any of the benefits of chatgpt and other consumer-facing LLMs can possibly outweigh their incredible ability to induce suicides
