Friday night not DnD (pathfinder 2e) campaign is going great.

With not a caster or healer in the party, they have made it though the first two floor of abomination (they skipped most of floor 2) and are currently level 4, as they clear undead and talk to ghosts

Your phone should have never been fully integrated into the internet, this was a mistake.

Socializing online should only be done when sitting down at the library or your computer room.*

I hope this email never finds you. I hope a single shaft of light pierces the broken ceiling, giving life to saplings and ferns. I hope the old computer went dark years ago, and the office smells of moss and wild spores. I hope that you are free.

I always forget to shill it but if you'd like to show others how thoughtful and sophisticated you are, there's a black friday sale going on for my art prints. You can get 25% off on a selection of my work, including some new Lancer additions. Wow!

As two of the worst people have talked about "banter" today.

Banter is fine, as long as there is mutual respect and trust.

Without that your banter is somebody else's bullying.

I'm becoming ever more sure that the key to a an exciting game is not actually the models on the table but is in fact the table itself.

Oh good grief. I'm THIS close to doing model railways aren't I?
Fun day at Warfare on Saturday. A mini lard zone featuring a smashing What A Tanker by @joewargamer.bsky.social and a very nice CoC2 next door.

It’s crazy that you just expect your phone to connect to wifi/cellular networks/bluetooth devices all at once.

Thought brought to you, by troubleshooting why my music player didn’t want to connect to the WiFi while it’s Bluetooth was on

I find the phrase “makes history” nonsensical. Have you seen the stuff historians study? Just dropping an old piece of farm equipment down a well or accidentally freezing to death in a glacier gives you a good shot at the history books

remarkable to think about how Bill Watterson didn't even have kids when he was writing the father in Calvin And Hobbes. simply born with The Blood Of The Dad

Someone should of told kid me this before he enlisted in the military!
as a lapsed catholic, this whole "chatgpt maximizes my creative process" bit is so crazy. i don't know what malfunction inspires the rest of you, but i for one grew up with a healthy sense of shame.

I think we need to stop calling it empathy and go back to calling it decency. It isn't a favour you're doing someone else, it's you proving that you aren't a fucking ghoul

As a dude, the worst co-workers ive ever had have been men. For the simple reason that it’s socially acceptable for them to be both emotionally volatile, and still be bad at their jobs.
the women in the workplace discourse is very funny because a man who can act normal in an office environment that's predominantly female is absolutely on easy street. it's maybe the best gig anyone in history has had. and yet for many guys it is utterly impossible

I love that Jurassic Park builds tension through the constant motif of seat belt buckles not working - Grant can't get his to click on the helicopter. The safety bar can be easily pushed aside on the Mr. DNA lab tour. The passengers can just jump out of the jeeps if they want.

I say "firsthand" because reading someone else's posts or watching a video about a book or movie is NOT in any way shape or form the same and isn't going to help you here. It's fun/interesting to do AFTER reading or watching the thing for yourself. It's not a substitute for doing it yourself.
