I think accuracy is important, especially on a global scale. Just because a power opposes US interests doesn't make them good.

Uighurs are neither extremists nor separatists as Beijing claims. They just want their rights.

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

Transphobia is a fixation of elite culture. The same elite culture that is obsessed with defending and rehabilitating the social standing of wealthy child abusers, who fly to child rape islands to rape children together. That is the core culturar pillar of the elite— transphobia is also child abuse.

His campaign was ambitious, and it isn’t something he can execute by himself. Citizens must lean on their other representatives to let them know their wishes align with Mamdani.
Yeah I think even Mamdani could have told you that the next step of his career is to be undermined at every turn. And getting leaned on heavy by the same NYPD that was stalking & threatening De Blasio’s daughter was a given. It’s the harsh reality but it’s not something you discuss while campaigning

This administration has aggressively targeted trans people, seeking to force the nation back to an imaginary time where people like us didn’t exist—where gender is a prison to cage us, instead of a canvas to express our true selves.

But we have always been here.

Thatcher's government did this with Section 28, banned the "promotion of homosexuality" as a danger to children, while actively protecting Jimmy Savile and who knows how many other pedophiles. It's the same damn playbook.
I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

not "what about!"

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

There’s a two party duopoly in this nation.

Is it great? No! Is it reality? Yes.

Creating a third party means building up an entirely new infrastructure from scratch and then fighting both R & D.

Taking over the Dem Party is an easier and more effective route. It’ll take time, but it’s worth it.

Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

to be clear: a rejection of politics altogether is bad. an anti-politics, if you will. which is imo a bit of what’s going on with dems for the last couple decades. politics is dirty business with high stakes, and attempts to sanitize it only obscure the stakes, but do nothing to lessen them
not to be a dick because there’s a little truth to this, but also: all politics is about people’s well being. sometimes it’s just more visible or visceral or people who register as more important. a true rejection of politics that impacts people’s well-being is a rejection of politics altogether
hot take: the actual problem the Dems are having is that they're NOT playing politics with peoples' well-being and actually want things like "people get to go home to their families for Thanksgiving"

So here's the metric we use instead:

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will
